Heard Kevin Kiernan yesterday on the FAN and Tony (forget his last name, always sounds drunk) asked who on the staff had better stuff--Harvey or Thor. He said you're going to be surprised but from his eyes he thinks that actually Matz has the best "stuff", he has a swing and missability that those other guys don't have. And he said Harvey won't like to hear it but Thor has the second best stuff. So his three are Matz then Thor then Harvey and putting deGrom 4th should not be taken as a slight against him. _
Went to the Spring training game yesterday. Mets vs Marlins. Harvey pitched 4 and Familia 1. Lagares, d'Aruand, and Cespedes all with contact hits. Overall fun day yesterday! Excited for this season
Looks like Ruben is paying the price for The Coupons Factor? They have Reynolds on the cheap at SS, and Wilmer. So far Reynolds is good glove/ no stick tho. It bothers the shit out of me tho that Tejada took one for the team last year and he gets chucked to save the fucks some money. Ruben did a hellava nice job for us last year And even if it's not that, fuck them
Ahhh ok but still. I'd prefer not to lose him. He was a nice stop gap for a bit last year. I'm guessing Cabrera's injury isn't that bad. _
Flores has run away with the starting SS job while Astrubal recovers, still a chance he starts the year on the DL. Reynolds has some high upside too and on days that Wright sits , Wilmer can play third. Even though Id prefer that Herrera makes it over Reynolds if thats what it comes down to. If this is the end of Tejada's Mets career , I wish him luck going further. But we all know what he is at this point.
So much for their "mild interest" in him. I guess they just didnt want to give up anything. Supposedly Ruben had a minors deal offered to him by the Yanks too..but landing in St Louis is a perfect opp for him for playing time. Knowing that franchise he'll become a more than solid player for them while Peralta is hurt.
Sucked seeing Tejada playing SS for the Cards today. He did a good job for us last year. Couldn't of landed in a better place tho. In that respect he looked good in the Cardinal uni. Reynolds is a good glove and hopefully can contribute on O. Legares prowling the place where xbase hits go to die today. Looked good out in CF. But WTF?! Noah didn't get his hair cut. Wassup wit dat Joe?
Thinking about a weekend early evening game this year at CitiField. Can anybody suggest reasonably inexpensive seats with good sight lines? I'll be buying the tickets on StubHub.
I went to a few games last year and always tried to go for Promenade Gold upper deck in the 400 sections. It was right behind homeplate but upper deck. You could see everything. I know I paid about 40-60 bucks per ticket depending on who they played.
Harvey scratched for tomorrow's start after a visit to a "non-orthopedic" doctor. According to Collins it's "hard to say" if he's going to be starting the season opener on Sunday. Uh oh. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on...d-from-tuesdays-start-opening-day-in-question
