The Punisher is a separate entity in the Marvel universe, he makes his appearances in the DD Comic series as well. The two have quite the history.
I didn't even know this season has stated but I figured it'd be a downgrade. Mostly because I hate everything.
You fucking hipster. Seriously though, you would like the Punisher in this series if you decided to watch it.
Season 2 was good. Big issues with the storylines though. They tried to have 2 major ongoing storylines whereas season 1 just had one. It got confusing at times and didn't work out as well as it could have but overall I loved season 2, it just needed more focus on the clash between daredevil and punisher's crime fighting philosophies.
5 episodes in, and am really enjoying so far. for those that like to read the comic backstories, i'd suggest Frank Miller's run of Daredevil in the 80's. was some really great writing, and seems to be the basis for Season 2. had the Punisher run ins, Bullseye, Black Widow, and lots of new characters like Elektra, Stick, the Hand, etc..
This made me look up the worth of the old original comic book's value. There was an old hole in the wall run down shop on B'way in Washington Heights and we discovered it somehow. This old guy had a treasure trove of comics. We landed numerous collectors items including the complete early Daredevil. Iron Man, Spiderman,Batman...tons of stuff I have no idea wtf I did with any of it. Prolly sold it cheap. Fuck me. I had prolly $100,00 worth of stuff today
