Well, it is not a 0% chance like some may think. The Jets have holes, but many teams do. This cannot be denied.
@BobGlauber If Woody Johnson could send a message to Fitzpatrick, what would it be? "Come back to the Jets." Johnson said he's "optimistic" about deal
@JasonLaCanfora Sorry - on McCown - Denver, LA, Jets would all be teams who likely would want to at least inquire on him if Browns complete deal for RG3
typical Geno what was the final score? those are with the same weapons he would have now as well. Geno does not play smart football you can not argue that
That was a team loss, defense stunk and the offense couldn't score enough points to make up the difference.
Waters continue to remain murky here till deal gets done Woody is the owner but I can't see him commenting without him consulting with Mac/Bowles so this may be a planned statement from Woodrow
@viccarucci Rex Ryan says he would like to see #Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick leave the division. "He's tougher than heck. I hope they lose him."
Its a mind game. He hopes he stays cuz its the only qb in the division he can beat. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Bowles didn't sound like a coach with much confidence that his QB is coming back... I'm sure Mac told him to tame his thoughts a little though.. Bowles did kind of get us into this mess with Fitz by deeming him our starting QB for next season before free agency even started.. well, like Revis told Rex.. if you feel that way.. pay me that way! Now Mac is trying to clean it up with the "we want to sign fitz to comepete for the starting job next season" BS lmao.. crazy how the way you word something can make an 11M dollar difference in the negotiating world.
As each day passes it looks less and less likely that Fitzpatrick will be back. Listen to them a few months ago they made it seem as if Fitzpatrick is all but signed. Now they're changing their wording by saying they hope they resign him.
I think it's the opposite. With every day that passes, Fitz loses more and more leverage. The Browns are closing in on RG3, the Broncos have Sanchez and clearly aren't looking to spend big on another QB to compete with him, and the Jets have drawn in a line in the sand that they won't cross. The only wildcard here is LA but I doubt they'd be dumb enough to give Fitz starter money when they have Foles.
