I don't think so, because I don't think the Jets would take him. They've said multiple times how they want to upgrade the LB speed. They wouldn't be with Ragland. He's a Harris clone and the last thing we need is another run-stuffing plodder who misses a lot of plays because he can't get to them and who can't cover.

I've never seen Ragland play, I don't watch a lot of college football. My claim is that the draft profiles are very similar, and if you read them, you'd notice they are. And maybe you also were able to read the part where I said RR was less athletic.

Instead of attacking a post, maybe you can use your knowledge to enlighten those who haven't seen him play?

In no way, shape or form did I "attack" you or your post. I'm sorry you think I did. I just stated my opinion based on having seen both players play several times, and what I've read about them. I don't know about "enlightening" anyone, but I even said why I think the players' style of play isn't that similar, and in the post before that one I spoke about how Ragland is more similar to Harris, and probably not what the Jets were looking for.

Perhaps Upshaw can be a late bloomer like Calvin Pace

Can't wait for him to turn 34 and have a season where he hauls in 10 coverage sacks like pace did.

Crap, I was hoping we'd sign him! :(

Good move by the Falcons I think....he was a top prospect coming out of college that I wanted us to draft, and he's still young with upside. I think he reaches his potential with defensive guru Dan Quinn in Atlanta. He could have started opposite Mauldin for us.

I wasn't,Id like to see some new faces at the linebacker position.Rounds 1 and 3 are most likely gonna be outside linebackers .Being that we are set in the middle for atleast this year.We need replacements for Coples and Pace,Upshaw isn't the explosive pass rush linebacker that we need,he's a diffrent version of Demario Davis
