I'm glad someone remembers the facts of his time with Cleveland.

I think most fans (real fans) do. it's the media that likes to forget in order to kiss his ass. I'm not fighting that he is a great coach but greatest ever is a lot more questionable when you take all the cheating scandals and time in Cleveland into it.

Dumping a player a year too early instead of a year too late. Hasn't seemed to bite them yet.

I don't know if he cheated in Cleveland, real fans do know that he was putting together a blueprint that he has refined as he progressed in his years as a HC.

At what point he decided to cross the line I don't know that, I know it happened other wise the Pats would not have been docked picks and fined.

But like any great coach, he needs the great QB to fit his system, Montana and Walsh, Bradshaw and Knolls...etc

He would have been a good HC, with Brady he ended up being a great HC, tarnished yes, but to what degree? I can't speak to that.

I'm not saying he cheated in Cleveland but people give off the impression that he just stepped into head coaching and was amazing. He was mediocre in Cleveland. i agree he had the rug pulled out form under him as things were looking up but the results he did have were lackluster. I have actually read ESPN articles where they give his all time head coaching record and only used NE* not the years in Cleveland because it hurt the articles overall gentle hand job to BB*. i have spoken to NE* fans who have told me i'm lieing when i say he coached in Cleveland at all.

Most NE fans can't name more than three players on the team

I can't see how any rational fan does not see this as a smart long term move.

The Pats have several defensive players coming up for new contracts next year. Instead of losing one of the most valuable parts to a money crunch bill gets an additional pick, the best way to add good, inexpensive talent, and a interior lineman with upside who should compete for a job in the Pats shitty line.

Long term it's a win for them. It's only a loss to fans who see sack numbers and nothing else.

It makes sense for the Pats since re-signing Jamie Collins and Malcolm Butler should be more of a priority. But for us? For a second round pick and a garbage guard? That makes no sense at all. Anything less than a first for Mo is not worth it. It took a long time to get a dlineman like Mo. See Dewayne Robertson

As far as Mo is concerened, just take the year of play and let him go as a free agent. There is this belief among fans that if you can't resign a player you MUST trade them. Why?! If they are a high draft pick you'll get a compensation pick for them. Honestly, shouldn't the Jets get premium play out of Mo for as long as possible?

"It's not a lie, if you believe it." Whole lot of Costanzas around here.

He was rebuilding a franchise, won a playoff game and then it was announced that they are moving. Yeah, I'm sure a lot of coaches would've won games in that shitshow. I wonder how that foundation did that BB started in Cleveland after they moved... anyone?

Jones trade was a necessary move. Not to mention he piled up all his sacks against mediocre teams. Hightower and especially Collins are more versatile, and they have to pay Butler as well. Even if the O-lineman won't help, they get a 2nd round pick for a guy they couldn't afford to keep in the future.

You know, things don't become true or untrue based on location or place. I know this might be confusing to you.

I'd probably take Montana ahead of Brady, and Rodgers is probably better than both of them, but let's leave the worst QB to ever win a SB (which Manning was last year, even worse than Dilfer) and leave him out of the conversation shall we? Sanchez would've won that title. Denver almost had to go to overtime with that D and Pats giving up 23 QB hits and having no running game at all, BECAUSE Manning couldn't move the ball at all.

If you think Jonathan Cooper is garbage; have you seen Brian Winters, Willie Colon or Matt Slauson? Cooper is an athletic Guard who was injured his rookies season. Watch some games man. He's a great addition to a depleted line and is young

We can't afford to pay Mo and he's taking snaps away from Richardson and Williams. That's why they were trying to put Richardson at Linebacker at various times to get them all and the on the field at the same time. We have too many other needs to spend nearly $16 million on Mo at a position where we have 2 other very good and younger/cheaper players.

If you are just going to let him walk you donit this season and not franchise him. You don't just let him go for nothing might as well get something out of it

We've should've kept Matt Slauson, he's a pretty decent guard with the Bears
