Cinnamon and mehtay are always putting out false information to push their agenda to destroy the jets
Cinnamon and Mehta think the jets should pay fitz because they enjoy watching the jets struggle without a QB
Can the Jets pay Fitz even a decent amount, say 11 or 12 million per without gashing their OL? That would mean cutting Breno and Brick. Starting QVALE and getting some other LT alternative.
If that's what he's asking for, Mac's strategy of improving around the QB position makes more sense than ever. Allows the organization to be flexible if/when the Jets need to start an unproven commodity.
Yes. They would have to redo a few deals. Brick, decker maybe skrine and push some of fitzs money into future years as well but it can be done.
Yeah? Who'd they source? Smells like Mo trade to Chicago. Careful, some moron may make yet another new Fitz thread.
I'd rather start the season with Geno under center than pay Fitz $18million. Use that money for more offensive weapons and protection, and any QB will succeed under center. Sorry Fitz... it was a fun ride. Adios!
We've heard this 18 million number from everyone but Fitz and his agent. Who's to say 11 mil per year doesn't get it done? The hardest part of this whole process is creating the cap room to sign him and that's why we might not be able to go more than 8 mil per year. Damn this is complicated it's getting hard to picture Fitz back next season which would suck.
The 18 mil number can't be right... If it is he's down right crazy and should fire his agent!! I don't think he can get 10 out of us given our cap space. Might be time to move on
Fitz isn't gonna want anything less than 13-14 million. We are standing firm at 7-8 million. Hopefully 10 million can get it done. We won't be paying him more than 10 million. If Fitz is gonna give this up so be it, there is nothing we can really do. I hope he comes back though, however, whoever is QB this season will still put up good numbers.
That's pretty much the way I see it. The whole reason Fitz is so valuable is that in this offense, he can put up league average numbers but he probably can't in any other offense. Ordinarily, it costs 15-20 million for a QB who can put up league average numbers, but since Fitz can't get that anywhere else, we can hopefully get his average production a discount rate of less than 10 million. If for some reason, we have to pay him market value for an average starter, then it isn't worth keeping him given our cap situation and the possibility that another cheap QB like RG3 can produce in Gailey's offense.
Connor Hughes @Connor_J_Hughes 13m13 minutes ago Well, ok then-- WFAN's Mike Francesa says #Jets have contacted #Bucs about Mike Glennon: http://buff.ly/1pmg6EO
The Bucs wanting a first rounder for Glennon is more laughable than Fitz wanting 18 million a year. They played Josh McCown over Glennon for goodness sake.
