And I think they haven't cut him because they see him as a reasonably priced back-up. I think there is much more emotion with the fans than the FO. I don't think he has much of a trade market (if any). He also doesn't save much money so there is no need to cut him yet (if that was your plan).
He hasnt been cut because he barely makes any $$. Even if its too much in his case. And what exactly would be the incentive to trade him when he has zero trade value? He'll either be the "hold your breath after every hit Fitz takes"-backup or he'll be cut before the season if Petty proves he can handle the backup duties and we have a 3rd stringer making league minimum.
All those are just rumors. But hey I could be wrong. To be honest I want to see the Jets sign Fitz because he not going to last all year with his style of game.
correct. Just heard that today on NFL tot access All the QB deals hinge on CK since 3 teams including Jets want the guy
Eh. I wish we could just sign somebody and be done with it. Waiting is not one of my strong suits......
Not that I just want any "body", but I would like somebody to go along with Geno and Petty. It's not like a CB or RB, there's only so many even decent QB'S available in fa. Unless Mac is looking to trade for someone later. Which is a possibility.
You're not waiting for anything; simply accept the team as it is today with Geno and Petty as the QB's. Done. You don't have to wait to see if they sign another QB anymore than you have to wait to see if they sign a new WR.
$18 million? No fucking way - That's almost franchise tag $! Maybe if he led us to a Super Bowl or had 10 years left, but based upon last year? GTFO dude.
Nah, that's what him and his agent putting out right now, I hope the jets have a timeline for this guy, we got rg3 sitting with no other team interested in him at the moment and reports were saying that his camp liked the jets and they had positive talks. No reason to pass up chance on potential franchise QB for a journeyman whom is being stubborn and delusional
I get that reporters feel they need to report on what they hear and all that. But it still kind of struck me that Cimini is calling the visits with Griffin a leverage play with Fitz's agent. "Don't pay any attention to that, Ryan!" Alrighty.
