We will never know if he is until he plays. People who know football know 2 years is not a fair judgment for a QB.

We need to give GeNo another 2 seasons to really piss off his teammates.

I won't be satisfied until Matt Forte kicks him in the nuts.

Monday is the day I predict we resign Ryan, but you are spot on. We don't have money to throw around. Two out of three are big ifs for us unless Gailey is gonna work some presto change o.

RG is destructive agreed and maybe that moron Smith is out but I would not go as far as to say Mac is also a moron. Revis was overpaid and Cro was meh. You can't get it all right, no GM can. Imagine we go from a Harvard educated guy at QB to a prima donna like RG3???? Sickens me..We lose in the Attitude/Leadership column right there. Throw some meds at RG and therapy with BMarshall maybe he makes it

Fitz and Sexton forcing MM to look under rocks for QBs

I don't like this one bit

Fitz is overplaying his hand. The FO just has to wait it out and if we are the only team left low ball the ahole for playing us. When will reality hit fitz? That being said we were stupid not to sign him for 2 years when we had the chance. Based on what he did (last season) he is well worth the money but but based on his age and key games won he isn't even worth 8 mil. JMO

I think he meant he no longer has an attitude problem. People can, and do, change, especially young immature guys like Geno. He's growing up. Actually, people of ALL ages continue to learn and improve throughout their lifetimes (the smart ones anyway). So don't condemn Geno for his past. Nobody can control the past, only the present and future. (though the future is often determined by factors outside of our control as well)

I like Mac but 2 years under Fitz would have been smart and get Petty ready.

FUCK THIS SH*T START BRYCE PETTY ...The Jets don't really want RG and we all know it

No Fitz?? Start the youth movement now

Thats the long term plan NO????? Unless they think two Baylor guys can get along I don't see RG helping Petty at all

    You mean this prima donna?

Have you ever seen this from RG3?

What does Harvard have to do with the quality of QB the Jets need? Fitz is a great guy but he can't throw a deep ball.

He is a journeyman who the Jets can't look at as their future.

all great points. especially number 5. I could not agree more. I'd rather take the RGIII risk than overpay Fitzpatrick because he had a good year. I agree with that 1000%.

to your 3rd point- RGIII is not a savant at reading defenses for sure but Gailey's quick read offense doesnt require much of that. Also, I think having big targets like Marshall and Decker will help him tremendously. Nobody talks about how he had practically no good receivers in his time in Washington. They brought in DeSean Jackson but he's not the big targets like Marshall and Decker. Those guys help QBs big time who have struggles with reading defenses and even accuracy.

Fitzpatrick never had much success in this league prior to hooking up with Marshall & Decker and look what happened when he did. Also, its not like Fitzy was back there reading defenses all season... alot of what he did was just throw it up to marshall and decker.

IF, and I acknowledge its a pretty big if, they coach up RGIII to get the ball out quickly, I believe he can at least get us close to what Fitzpatrick did last year and with his arm strength the offense will not be limited to short/intermediate passing. which could open up other opportunities
