I'd take him and move forward with him and Qvale tbh. they will be younger, cheaper, and almost have no choice but to be better options. Cut Brick and Breno, save a niiiice grip of cap.. and make other moves too.
I would love to see this happen. Then Breno can be cut and Brick given the choice of a new sub-$10mil deal or hitting the "bricks", that would really free up some cap space.
I saw this on Henderson earlier today, I don't see why they don't cut Breno now and use the cap to re-sign Henderson
Has anyone seen anything linking Jets with ILB freeman from the colts? Seems like a good option at a pretty big need, especially if Henderson heads to Oakland.
Jerrel Freeman would certainly be the best option if we miss out on Henderson, but I have a feeling he won't come cheap.
With the possible loss of Henderson, we should do some work on Joe Walker from Oregon. Apparently his biggest knock was his athleticism, but he made some money at his Pro Day today. I'm looking for tape on him now. Can't forget we have Taiwan Jones in the wings as well.
Steelers free agent left tackle. Can be had at a discount because he's coming off a torn ACL, only 26 years old.
It's hard for a fan to get a good gauge on how good offensive linemen are because of the lack of stats, publicity and game info about them, so I can't really answer that question in good faith on my own analysis. But from what I've read he's been improving each year and is an above average starter with the potential to be more at this stage in his career.
