I like Sanchez, dont get me wrong I dont think hes very good, but he always did seem like a nice guy so I root for him wherever he goes. That said I think he can find moderate success if he does in fact start but I'm sure hes only been brought in to compete.
i said it in an earlier thread, this denver team is starting to look like one of the florida marlins teams that win it all and then completely shit themselves for a few years then make another run at it. sanchez is definitely the guy for that.
I don't think they are pulling a marlins. Most of their losses were expected because they simply couldn't afford them. And then Osweiler bailed on them and it messed everything up. Elway was pissed about that. If they were pulling a marlins, it would be like "oh well" and instead of breaking their back to sign Von Miller they'd flip him to some team for like a zillion draft picks and some crappy young players
He'll probably have a lot more success in Den's offense than he has anywhere else due to smart play calling, decent running game, and two excellent WR's that can play any position.
for a second what could we get for Geno a bad of peanuts? Seriously though he should do OK there. Prolly his best coach for qbs as it goes so far in his career
well, the bronco's did have the 31st worst passing game in the league last year so it's not like he can take it down any further The Bronco's were actually in negative turnover territory last year if I recall, I didn't double check this so if my memory is incorrect I apologize. As bad of a starter as Sanchez is in my opinion he is probably better skill wise than Peyton was in his final year, his passes were floating badly. That said Peyton still brought something that Sanchez has never shown, the ability to pre-read a defense and mostly make the right audible based on the coverage. That said, good for Sanchez, but it says a lot that in a QB hungry league the best the Eagles could get for him from a team desperate for a QB (only QB on the roster being Trevor Siemian) was a conditional 7th round pick in 2017, per Adam Schefter who is usually pretty reliable when it comes to reporting trade details. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...roncos-latest-trade-details-comments-reaction
In all seriousness he's probably just there as a backup and some modicum of insurance to keep teams (re: SF) from holding them hostage in trades. What'd they give up, a conditional 7th? They did actually need a backup too, since BOTH their QB's left.
Can they give the mvp to the losing QB for being a fuck up? "We would never have won if it weren't for those costly interceptions, fumbles and poor clock management."
that's valid. did they sign miller long term? im pretty sure they franchise tagged him. so far they have watched trevathan, osweiler and malik Jackson walk away. oh and that guy named peyton. It just seems like the wheels are falling off in Denver.
If Sanchez wins the SB next year will the Genobots finally concede that he is the better than Geno Smith?
