Major QB development: former Redskins QB Robert Griffin III is scheduled to visit the NY Jets later today, league source tells ESPN.
In the words of Melo..."I'll take it" Trade Geno to Denver after we sign him. I hear Denver needs another QB to compete for the starting job
Shit just got real. If we get Griffin on a small deal, trade Mo and let Fitz go, while restructuring Brick and releasing Giacomini, how much cap space would we have?
I'm okay with that. Lets Fitz know that despite wanting him back, he isn't the beginning and end. We aren't playing for just this season. This is the long game. RGIII still has potential, and on the right contract definitely gives us time.
Rams would probably give him more years and more money , but I guess its worth a visit for him. Any QB that is left has to think our weapons would give him the best chance to succeed , even over Denver's considering how often their WR's drop passes.
To sign who? I know that they have Beachum in to visit today, but there's not a ton left that's worth trading Mo for. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Why cut brick and trade Mo is my point. you do that before free agency. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
I'll take Robert Griffin III on a prove it deal along with keeping our draft picks over trading for Colin Kaepernick or overpaying for Ryan Fitzpatrick.
I think the Jets could sign Mo to a longer term deal (that would provide some cap relief this season) and then rework some other contracts (Brick, Mangold) and some other cuts to at least get the cap to a reasonable place. I'm not sure what RG3 is looking contract wise.
Makes you wonder how RGIII would perform in Chan Gaileys system. Tough to belive he just sucks now, especially after the way he performed his first year
