I think Denver will offer him 9-11 a year now with the backlash of losing Brock. I'd love to have Figz back, but I don't want him for more than 2 years and for more than 18-20 in gurrenteed $. If that's the case he'd be dumb to not come back to NY with the system familiarity and success. The Revis contract is once again handcuffing this team from growing.
The only reason Denver is even talking to Fitz' agents is to drive SF's asking price for Kaep down. They only even leaked the Fitz contact when they were close to a trade yesterday.

I feel like Jets reached out to 9ers to pressure fitz to hurry and return, and to pressure denver to hurry up and make their move on Kaep, which would then back Fitz against the wall of my original post... take our 7-8M and start or take 3-4M as someones back up. I also feel Denver reaching out to Fitz to pressure the 9ers into giving them Kaep at their price.. not the 2nd round price tag they have on Kaep. Now with Cleveland-Kaep talks heating up... that could give us a problem. I'm sure then Denver would either turn back to fitz again or try to trade for someone else.. big chess game between 4 teams.. i like our stance though.
I honestly think we'll have him signed by Monday. Rams and Browns, according to reports, are out of the running due to the money. Denver seems to be looking to seal the deal to trade for Kaepernick. Fitz would be smart to lower his price and stay here. Stick with a team you have experience with.

Fitz's bargaining leverage is drying up. You're 33 and have never won anything. You had your best season as a pro last year and folded like a lawn chair when it mattered most. You're a journeyman, decent QB with a couple of years left - You are not a franchise QB. Sign the deal.
