Well no, obviously Fitz would still throw the normal amount he does lol. I meant it as having 3 RBs that can run the rock and catch dumps out of the backfield certainly limits his/any QBs int. rate. Especially come the goal-line, feeding Robinson the ball will be huge.
Fitz isn't getting Osweiler money. If he were, he'd be gone by now. It comes down to who Denver likes at QB and whether LA swoops in (though I feel like they would have by now if they were really interested).
Bingo. It's been almost 24 hours since FA started and not a single team is even linked to Fitz. I'm sure he has plenty of Back-up interest or QB competition interest, but NO TEAM besides the Jets is giving him a starting job or a great group of weapons to work with, plus an OC that works so well with Fitz. I get him wanting the most money possible, but this is getting ridiculous now, as a 3 year, $24 million deal with $14 million guaranteed seems completely fair to me.
Its being reported that if fitz falls through the backup plan is Hoyer? anyone very concerned about this? I personally think Hoyer is the worst QB to throw a pass last year... Id rather start Geno or Bryce... I dont even want him on the practice squad, this guy is a scrub... if it looks like its coming to this we need to send an offer to SF or RGII...
its just a negotiating ploy. The Jets put out there that they would have no problem replacing Fitzpatrick with the guy that replaced him last year to get him and his agent to crack
Fitz is going to be back. Why? Cause no one wants him. (Great to see the guy we need to lead us is wanted by nobody BTW) Fitz had a career here, likes Gailey and who better to throw to than Decker and Marshall There aren't many options available He's basically just acting foolish and hurting his own value for not accepting what we've offered and letting us see how other teams view him.
Exactly, its early. Mac hasn't even had the "talk" yet with D'brick or Breno. I don't see contract figures posted yet but it seems like he targeted and landed 3 quality RB's for what it would have cost to bring back Ivory and not re-sign Powell. That's what I want to see in a GM. Everyone needs to stop worrying about the wrong side of 30 with Forte. The deal is perfect, not high priced, guaranteed money = 2 years of production, if his production slips late in year 2 you don't bring him back for year 3. Now they don't have to take a RB early in draft the can focus on OLB, OL etc. You can't ask for a better scenario. 3 versatile guys to share the load saves wear and tear on them all. Look how fresh Powell looked at the end of last year. There is a reason teams are going to RB by committee, its a high wear and tear position. Sit back and watch as the high priced veteran OL are signed by others, when the dust clears he'll grab a few @ league minimum, deal with D'brick, Breno etc.
If Macc brings back Fitz for Chase Daniel money, especially considering his other moves, the NFL should rename the Exec of the Year award the Mikey Macc award. I'm still concerned though, we're playing with fire.
id be fine with Hoyer(assuming we pay him 5-6M or less). Hoyer is kind of borderline backu/starter/trash... but i mean so was fitz. im not on board with any scenario where we give fits 9+ million. regardless of what scrub would start instead
