He's made of actual glass? How uncommon. You realize Fitz also runs an awful lot right. RG3 tore his ACL then suffered a concussion and was benched for the entire year because Washington saw an opportunity to do it. Its tough to label him injury prone because of that.
2009: tore acl in college 2012: concussion missed a game, sprained acl, tore acl 2014: dislocated ankle 2015: concussion
A running qb that isn't accurate from the pocket. Has had 2 knee procedures and doesnt know how to avoid contact.
It's a philosophical question Would we be back page heroes? Yes Would it be a smart long term move? No SOJ
I don't think most here would automatically label him our savior if signed. Seems like most people think it's a good idea under the premise of Fitz being gone/wanting too much. He could very well stink, but he also has a great deal of potential upside if he could put it all together and recapture some of the mojo he entered the league with. A fresh start with a team that didn't mortgage the future banking on him to be THE GUY, and an offensive system that he would probably be more comfortable in could help with that. Or, again, he could be a dud. If Fitz rambles elsewhere I wouldn't be mad at the signing provided it's a reasonable, hopefully incentive laden deal.
If we roll into next year with just Geno/Petty/Bottom of the barrel FA QB, I'll try to just trust in Big Mac and root like hell for it to work out. But I think even Maccagnan's biggest believers would have a hard time not being at the very least uneasy at entering the season that way. It's certainly going to be an interesting offseason.
