That would make Fitz a fukn SCAB like Brady. And Woody a rat like Kraft. As dumb as Woody is he's not a rat
I dont think Fitz would be a good fit in their system. Fitzpatrick is better in the shotgun with 4 wide recievers spread out where he gets the ball out quickly and relies on his quick decision making. Kubiak hates shotgun and runs that deep RB zone read running game, with multiple TEs , compacted offense. so in addition to questioning how it would be possible for him to sign there I happen to think it would be a bad fit on the field. either way though- if Fitzpatrick did sign there, I fully expect Brock Osweiler to have some kind of freak circumstance whereby he can't play and Fitz becomes the starter. Like Osweiler breaks his leg skiing or something ridiculous. Fitzpatrick works hard in his career, not taking anything away from him, but he also has a bit of a horseshoe up his ass and it blows my mind how he is able to leapfrog incumbent QBs based on strange events... Geno breaking his jaw was not the only fortune he's had
if we don't resign fitz next season is not fucked. We'd end up with RG3 or Kaep. Let's not forget prior to last year Fitz was as good as done. Chan's system and ability to coach QBs will lend to whatever happens, just as it did for Fitz.
I think he could be a decent alternative at the right price. I'm assuming he'd be relatively cheap and I always thought he looked solid the few times he got a chance to play. Pretty solid runner as well, which I'm sure Chan would like.
He'll re-sign as long as the Jets are offering something decent. There's no better place/system for him to start in where he'll get paid the same. This is just negotiation. He may go talk to some teams but I bet he'll re-sign with the Jets unless they are totally lowballing him.
lol anybody with eyes seen this coming. Lets go Bryce and Geno. i'm excited for that QB comp. (i really don't care how you geno haters feel... so save it)
If these guys really want Fitz back then they will have to restructure (referring to Marshall, Decker, Mangold, Brick). If they love him as much as they say they do, then they'll sacrifice.
We can't restructure Brick. Pushing more guaranteed money down the road on the contract of a 32 year old, declining player that you're planning on replacing within 2 years is a Tannenbaum move.
