I'd love to see one of our starters nail him...set the tone for the season. Yeah, I'll take the suspension.

He should be drilled on general principle. It would be doing the world a favor :)

That seems to be a popular opinion. And I think if the team gets off to a slow start those screams might get a little louder.

To me though the talent on this team far outweighs the Jets from 09-10. Plus there's no Tom Brady of baseball in our way either.

Who is the player you have an eye on? Right now mine is Josh Smoker. I could see him being a contributor in our pen at some point this year. He throws gas!

    Conforto.

He's the guy I'm going all in on.

    And my man d'Arnaud.

Conforto looks like he's been working out. Looks stronger than last year. I like it. Not understanding why the Astro are shifting on him. Here's to hoping teams keep doing that to him. lol Don't think it will work out so well for them. Has there been any indication that they will try d'Arnaud or Plawecki at 1st base to spell Duda every once and a while? Probably not right, just gonna use Flores.

I'll say Lagares will contribute nicely off the bench, and is gonna get back to being that Gold Glove CF/Outfielder from the year before.

Looking forward to our new Middle Infield defense....it will be nice to have a steady, professional, DP combo from the start....and they both hit too.
Which reminds me of Dilson Herrera...He may be the 2B next year. It would be nice to see him flash this spring

They put in a new rule over the Utley slide, yet mlb overturns Chase Utley's supension. LMFAO How stupid is that?

Good reason to nail that fuck ahead of time.

Guys like him would really hurt people with this rule. Not liking this rule

Agreed. Everything Ive heard with Lagares has been positive. Could've been a different story considering he was probably looking forward to being a starter again and then we resigned Cespy. He could've easily asked for a trade but seems to be taking his "new" role in stride.

Supposedly dropped 15-20 pounds too. Maybe that brings him back to 2014 form in the field.

In terms of 4th OFer's , he's gotta be one of the best in baseball.

I have never rooted for a player to get intentionally injured but I hope to God Thor drills Utley with the first pitch right in the spine and the ball comes out his sternum.

What a slap in the face to the Mets, Tejada and the fan base.

    Fuck him.

Andy Martino is such a fuckin whining wannabe bitch. I wish SNY would lose his ass.

    That is all. :)

went to the game yesterday in Orlando (ESPN Wide World of Sports Center) vs Atl.

Harvey threw heat, control seemed a bit off. Conforto and Lagares looked good..... in the end, the no-name guys blew it in the 9th.
I'll be honest though, I was more focused on enjoying ridiculously overpriced beers in the sun than anything else.

Spot on with everything you said. Most importantly, I am a little nervous about deGrom making it through the year.

    Apparently Thor was amazing yesterday.

I'm predicting our staff throws 2 no-hitters this season.

Thor has the golden locks flowing too haha. He's there with deGROM now

Astrubal hurt himself yesterday. Good chance he starts the year on the DL.

    Wilmer , you're up.

Any report? Didn't look too bad at the time. Hopefully it's a cartilage scope at worst.

If he can't start Tejada makes the roster, and could conceivably get the start, picking up where he left off last year.

Just that he will be shut down for 2 weeks. Supposedly could've been a lot worse but he returned to NY today for further examination.

Ima add d'ARNAUD too. He looks good.

I like the idea of maybe giving Plawecki to Colon to ease the wear and tear on d'A.

I'm thinking we could see a good year at the plate.

We got some hitters on this team
