Caps and Isles will forecheck this defense into oblivion come playoff time. And not a single person affiliated with this organization seems to know, or care.
If the Rangers get committed they can forecheck their way to wins too. They did that quite a bit today
The forwards certainly looked better once the lines were shuffled. God knows why AV started with the lines he did. And Staal-Boyle were last in TOI on D, so there were some positives to take out of tonight.
70% Rangers-Islanders - armaggedon about 20% Penguins http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Metropolitan/NYRangers.html
How funny was Big Mc on the RW, a Naval Destroyer! Hit everything in site, now back to defense big guy!

I don't see the Islanders as the first round opponent as a foregone conclusion at all. The Isles and Pens are just three points apart and there are 20 games left in the season, and they play head-to-head three times.
That makes me sick to my fucking stomach that the best center on this team is demoted to winger for the statistically worst center on the team.
I don't think the isles are going to make the playoffs, they have a tendency to go on losing streaks at the worst possible moments in the season. Their biggest issue is on the offensive side, they don't have anyone to help carry the load that's on JT. I hope they don't make the playoffs, I want to see the team broken up, fire Capuano, get rid of Okposo, Bailey and a bunch of AHL players that are posing as NHL players.
The Isles are cursed by their senior management. Even the move to Barclays is going worse than planned.
72% is the probability based on all the team stats, upcoming matchups, and thousands of computer simulations. The unknown here is if Crosby continues his resurgence because his playing elite isn't captured in the stats for most of the season
