I think we should have done this deal with one less second rounder

Can look at it this way, when Nash comes back you will have replaced Glass with Nash and Hrivik with Staal, you didn't trade Yandle, Lindberg, Kreider, Skjei, Mcilrath, Bodie, Bushnevich....4th line should be Lindberg-Dom Moore-Fast...not bad

Probably could have, GG, but I like what Section 336 said, hopefully he's right, losing and never making the playoffs suck, in the past he has performed well in the playoffs, let's hope for the best

Excuse me, are you HONESTLY suggesting putting Stepan at center of Staal, who is the first legitimate goal scoring center this team has had in ten years?

Are you completely out of your mind?

I am absolutely, positively GIDDY over this trade. This team now has it's first legitimate, goal-scoring first line center in ten years, and all it cost was two draft picks, and a prospect.

if Derek Stepan is as great as all of you make him out to be, let's trade him and get everything back that we just gave up. Personally, i would settle for a ham and cheese sandwich.

Way better forwards than what Staal had in Carolina!

Of COURSE he should!!! Look at the numbers above, and tell me for what possible reason would he not be the FIRST LINE center?

Good to see you are excited...

The reason why I have him as LW is because he has been playing wing for a while now. I certainly think he can handle center but we have Centers now. We could use him on the Wing AND he can def be the Center on the PK, Powerplays, and draws

We have centers? Who? Which center on this team averages more goals per game in their career? Which center is better on the faceoff?

Aren't these things you want your center to do?

Besides, if our centers are as good as you say they are, the team can surely get a great deal from trading one of them.

AV said he sees E. Staal ultimately as a center.

Of course he does. That's because he doesn't have a brain the size of a pea.

We won't have to watch Stepan lose the 1st faceoff of every PP anymore

Nor will we have to put our second line out to PREVENT him from losing the faceoff.
