I know, I read that article earlier in the morning. NYT is obviously pulling for Clinton. They wont mention the actual delegate figures that differentiate things from super delegates.
This was expected given the huge black Democratic electorate in SC, even though it makes zero for blacks to support Clinton over Sanders. I hope Bernie has a decent showing on Super Tuesday, but I'm not that optimistic.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and the DNC and the corporate media have done everything in their power to limit the exposure of Sanders. So we'll have the coronation of Queen Clinton while millions of Americans get fucked over by not even knowing about the far superior candidate. Democracy in action. I'm so fucking sick of the Democratic Party. They'll have Clinton be the nominee and she'll lose to Trump.

Yes I'm a registered Democrat, but only to vote for Bernie in the closed NY primary. Once that's over I'm completely done with the party. A small part of me hopes that if Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, she loses to Trump in the GE. Just to stick it to corrupt Democratic leadership. But that would be a nightmare for the country. This is all depressing shit.
Think of the super delegates as the parties' version of the electoral college. The idea being that they will tend to moderate a leftward drift during the primaries that will not play during the general election. I think SC shows pretty clearly that a 70 year old Jewish socialist candidate isn't likely to have very long legs in the south. If you want a bunch of retarded monkeys throwing rocks around the room in order to find out which game show host remains standing, well, there's another party for that.
You have to be kidding. The difference between the Democrats and the GOP right now is that the Dems want to give stuff to the average person struggling to make ends meet and the GOP wants to give it to the corporations to make shareholders rich. The Dems have a piece of the corporate action also but the GOP has turned it into an art form.

Trump is not a Conservative by any of the current definitions of Conservative that we use. He's not a Social Conservative. He's not a Fiscal Conservative. He's not a Libertarian. He's a mix of Neoconservative and Paleoconservative values that are at war with each other. He's also very likely a Social Liberal when it comes to most of the settled issues of the day. By Neo and Paleo at war with each other I mean that he clearly wants to expand American values throughout the world but he also wants to fortify and withdraw in many ways. American Empire (Pax Americana if you want to call it that, although the world is anything but peaceful these days) and Fortress America do not logically exist in the same realpolitik. We have no idea which President Trump would be the dominant President Trump if he was elected. He'd be as likely to try to take Republican majorities by the horns and steer them his direction as to go along with what they wanted to do. He'd likely be the exact opposite of President Obama in this regards, fighting as hard as he could within the process to get a very unpopular Congress to bend to his will. He'd likely use Democrats as his fulcrum and he'd split the Republican Party in two, finishing the process they started themselves when they disavowed working with the elected President because they were afraid he would split the party. The most worried guy in Washington today has to be Mitch McConnell. This was his strategy from 2008 onwards and Trump would probably torpedo it and McConnell at the same time.
