Rangers rank fifth in the NHL in goals per game this season (2.85). New York has posted a 29-5-3 record when registering three or more goals in 2015-16. Blueshirts have allowed two goals or fewer in seven of the last nine games, in 14 of the last 24 games, and in 34 games this season. New York has posted a 29-3-2 record when allowing two goals or fewer in 2015-16.
Penalty Kill: The Rangers were 4-for-4 (8:00) on Feb. 21 vs. Detroit. New York is 9-for-9 on the penalty kill over the last two games.
Devs 1st goal gift wrapped by Boil who passed the puck to nobody behind the net and a -3 again get rid of this fuckin' loser
Staal out last night....trade? Day to day with lower body injury....curious....Skjei was very good last night and logged 22 minutes
Derek Stepan has to be the worst goal-scoring first-line center I have seen in 30 years of watching hockey. He missed two gift goals in the first period of that Devils game.
Skjei played very well so of course he went back to Hartford today, so Boil can keep logging 23 minutes a game, AV your a moron
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/h...day-to-day-skjei-won-travel-article-1.2541932 Rangers defenseman Marc Staal "tweaked" something in his lower body, Alain Vigneault said before Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Devils in Newark, which was why Brady Skjei was called up from AHL Hartford earlier in the afternoon. Staal is considered day-to-day and is expected to travel with the team for its upcoming road trip to St. Louis and Dallas, said Vigneault, who was unwilling to be more specific on Staal's injury other than a lower-body tweak. Skjei is not expected to join the team on the trip, but Vigneault didn't rule it out. The 21-year-old Skjei, who made his NHL debut on Dec. 15, logged a team-high 22:17 of ice time Tuesday in his third career NHL game, including 4:19 of shorthanded time. Vigneault paired Skjei with Dan Girardi during a major penalty kill to start the third and again later on a minor. Skjei was mostly paired with Kevin Klein at even strength and was credited with one shot and two hits. "I thought he played all right," Vigneault said of Skjei's performance. "You can see that he can skate, he's got a good skill level. Unfortunately as a team we didn't play real well in front of him."
I'm confused as to how a guy goes from playing more than anyone on the team to getting demoted the next day.
Thoiught they were checking to see if he could handle the minutes, to trade Yandle or Staal, rather see him play over Boil the train wreck
