there is no need to shit on cro's 2015 performance. he severely sprained his knee early last year and played through it for the squad. he got better as the year went on and that was likely due to improved health.

he was never going to see the second year of that contract tho. its time for the young guys compete for the #2 spot

 

Imo the Jets cannot rely on Williams to be the starter opposite Revis.

I dont know if Cromartie is willing to make the switch, but I think he'd make a pretty darn good FS.

No surprise that Cro was cut. I'm waiting to see what the Jets do with Brick and Giacomini.

Breno is as good as gone. I'm hoping the Jets restructure Brick. When all is said and done we wont have a TON of cap room, but we'll have enuf to bring back Mo and Fitz plus make a few moves.

 

This was pretty much a no brainer. I wouldn't mind seeing him back in a team friendly deal, but 8m is way too much, and I'd be okay seeing the full 8m go to Fitz.

 

We haven't been this stacked at Safety in YEARS. We don't need Cro.

 

I think its 1.2 million, not for sure. Cutting Folk would save 2 million. I like Folk though.

 

And after Kerley and Cumberland hopefully Giacomini. These four cuts (with Cromartie) should give us enough room to extend Fitz and gain some wiggle room in the talks with Mo...

 

Not going to miss him. Thought he lost a step last year and got burned a few times. Glad to see Mac working smarter and not harder.
