LMAO Its sad that I sometimes forget we have Milliner and Macdougle on this team. Marcus Williams is obviously the guy they see stepping up, but it would be nice to see something out of our draft pick busts at this point.
Lol u realize we just cut a 32 million dollar contract and took no dead money penalty or cap hit for it right? that's the opposite of really bad.
So you agree that he was horrendous in 37% of our games. In my opinion paying a starter 7 million to be awful for that length of time is a bad contract.
Mac had no way of knowing that. You act as if he and other GMs had a crystal ball, used a Ouija Board or had some way of predicting the future. Cro had played well for Bowles the season before, and in all likelihood, Bowles wanted Cro and Cro wanted to be here. Further Cro and Revis had played well together here before. Any time a GM signs any player, there's a chance the player could become seriously injured and never play a down for the team. There's also a chance that draft picks bust and veteran FAs play may have deteriorated badly over the offseason. The only contract I would come close to agreeing with you on is Revis' and Woody wanted Revis back, Revis wanted to come back and most Jets fans wanted him back.
I do realize that. I also think the money spent on him last year could have been used much more effectively.
No. I don't see that happening. Who's gonna play LT? There are only a couple of good LT prospects in the draft who would be anywhere near ready to play in 2016, and they'll be gone long before the Jets pick. He's been a great Jet, and that would not be a wise thing to do from that perspective, either. If they cut him, they'd be forced to either trade up, which they can't afford unless they could use Mo, or they'd be forced to trade for Joe Thomas IF the Browns were even willing to trade him. Even if they were, they'd have the Jets over a barrel and could rob them. I think he will be asked to take a pay cut. I agree, no restructures. They don't need dead money in future years from him, and he doesn't deserve to be paid any extra.
TB most likely wanted him coming off the good year in AZ as his DC. Cro was also a guy that prolly helped with the installation and transition of TB's D. And God knows they needed DB help. It's a wash and it's over
It wouldn't surprise me to see Cumberland cut in August .I think cutting him only frees up 1 mill or so
I hope we can resign him at a discount. It would be unfortunate to spend yet another first round pick on a CB.
Cumberland kerley next. Restructure brick and we should have some wiggle room. I betcha we go after martellus Bennett. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
