Penalty Kill: The Rangers were 4-for-4 (8:00) on Feb. 21 vs. Detroit. New York is 9-for-9 on the penalty kill over the last two games.

2 goals in 45 seconds for the Rangers

Yandle great passing leads to the go ahead goal to make it 2-1

Derek Stepan has to be the worst goal-scoring first-line center I have seen in 30 years of watching hockey. He missed two gift goals in the first period of that Devils game.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/h...day-to-day-skjei-won-travel-article-1.2541932

Rangers defenseman Marc Staal "tweaked" something in his lower body, Alain Vigneault said before Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Devils in Newark, which was why Brady Skjei was called up from AHL Hartford earlier in the afternoon.

Staal is considered day-to-day and is expected to travel with the team for its upcoming road trip to St. Louis and Dallas, said Vigneault, who was unwilling to be more specific on Staal's injury other than a lower-body tweak. Skjei is not expected to join the team on the trip, but Vigneault didn't rule it out.

The 21-year-old Skjei, who made his NHL debut on Dec. 15, logged a team-high 22:17 of ice time Tuesday in his third career NHL game, including 4:19 of shorthanded time. Vigneault paired Skjei with Dan Girardi during a major penalty kill to start the third and again later on a minor. Skjei was mostly paired with Kevin Klein at even strength and was credited with one shot and two hits.

"I thought he played all right," Vigneault said of Skjei's performance. "You can see that he can skate, he's got a good skill level. Unfortunately as a team we didn't play real well in front of him."

I'm confused as to how a guy goes from playing more than anyone on the team to getting demoted the next day.

Thoiught they were checking to see if he could handle the minutes, to trade Yandle or Staal, rather see him play over Boil the train wreck
