Little Rubito still looks like an angry petulant child. God help us if that man is ever elected.

The Geneva Convention applies in wars between 2 or more sovereign nations. What it states about lawful vs unlawful combatants isn't really relevant if the conflict itself is a civil war taking place in one sovereign nation with many of the combatants not fighting for a sovereign nation. If the civil war is between a breakaway region and the central government the distinctions will be very cloudy on who is a lawful combatant and who is not a lawful combatant.

On to part 2. Decent human beings do not torture other human beings. It is unproductive, because people will say just about anything when you have a set of shears on one of their thumbs and are starting to apply pressure. It's human nature to avoid worst outcomes by saying whatever you think the person applying the worst outcome wants to hear.

So unless a party or parties just want to inflict pain on somebody the process of torturing them is not generally useful and in either case it is immoral and illegal.

It also opens up lawful combatants to similar treatment when they are captured. Not that evil people will have any compunction about torturing a lawful combatant but some of the people lawful combatants are captured by don't torture as a routine course of action. Unless we're busy torturing in the open ourselves. Then all of our people become subject to the law of the jungle no matter who takes them.

Best showing yet. At least he's not scared of Trump. Trump definitely does not respect Jeb though.

Trump thinks he can say almost anything and get away with it. That often turns into a moment in which everything turns on it's head and the person involved suddenly is under the 8-ball for good.

Joseph McCarthy was sailing along just fine until somebody asked him if he had no decency and when he was stumped for an answer he was through.

I apologize for my ignorance. How does the primaries/caucuses work in terms of electoral votes for the National Conventions? Cruz and Hillary won Iowa. Do they get all electoral votes or is it distributed among everyone based on their total votes?

Damn. I didn't think of that. He'd be eaten by Hawaiians on a pizza before I ever figured out where the line was.

Every state is different and each parties state committee decides how it handles the delegates.
Some are proportional and some are winner take all - usually on the republican side, the earlier ones are proportional and winner take all states do not start their primaries until the later part of March.

The sad part is that Rubio was not well prepared enough to use Christies canned "as a formal Federal Prosecutor" response to paint him like the jackboot little thug that he is. Just like Rudy...he can only pose as a Republican in a blue state. He hates gun rights,he favors law and order over civil liberties, and he os a horror on Judicial appointment.

Except...Canned...maybe. But Rubio is right. B.O. Knows exactly what he is doing in the europeanization of this country.

And look at where the far right os now getting in France and Germany. Farange is next.
