those two guys were union construction workers who are working at 56 Leonard street

 

Deal with Bay Crane all the time, they are very lucky that more people weren't killed

 

The crane was owned by Bay Crane but operated by Glasso

 

We use Bay Cranes and our ops operate them sometimes

 

so wait.... your telling me that 400 foot crane was temporary and attached only to the ground at the bottom? ho lee cow.... technology is amazing, but dangerous.

 

Thought the same thing. Considering the time , its a shock there wasnt atleast 20 people killed by this.

 

That would be true for a regular permanent crane, but this was like a crane on a giant tank (crawler crane). When they move or assemble them on the street they shut down the streets and don't let people walk or drive there. Obviously some people still got through in this case

 

That dude that died in his car was probably so stoned that he thought he was in an Avengers movie.

 

I thought he was walking down the street?
