Problem is that the stadium is a piece of shit. Isn't that the reason the Chargers want out? I felt that Super Bowl L should have been played at the site of the first one.
The Chargers want out if a deal on a new stadium can't be reached. They have options over the next 4 years to stay, but the 1 year window given them by the NFL to decide gives them more leverage. We should know more in the next 3-4 months if a stadium will become reality. If they stay in SD in a new stadium, that's the best scenario for the NFL, because it would allow the Raiders to move out of the worst stadium in all sports and move down to LA.
