So after the game they say John Scott has endorsement deals on the table and that his helmet from tonight will be retired in the NHL HOF...wtf? After they coerced a trade with the intention of not letting him play at all? Looks awful

That was the best All Star game I've seen in a while. The NHL git it right with this new format

Scott deserves the MVP just for destroying Roenick in their conversation

Agreed, but it actually was not terrible, because it did feel like watching a 3 on 3 OT. That is usually how they play out. All-Star games I watched in the past were completely unwatchable and not real hockey in the slightest. Contact sports like hockey and football should not have all-star games though. Ridiculous.

Washington reluctant to show their hand. Ovi and Holtby out tonight. Florida still crushing them 4-0

Looks like there is gonna be some playoff hockey in Sunrise this year

Holtby not playing against Washington's biggest threat. I guess he's worn out from All Star weekend? It's not a back to back.

    He's getting a long vacation.

    1/27 he started for Washington.

1/31 he played goalie for 10 minutes.

Next game is 2/4 against the Islanders.

As TDK mentioned, the Caps are barely playing during this stretch anyway, so it would've made sense to start Holtby every game.

To me, you rest him when you're playing lots of games, not when you're hardly playing at all.

Anyway, Grubauer has allowed 4 goals.

ha, you beat me to it, I was just posting about that.

Same really goes for Ovechkin. Seems silly to have him miss a big rivalry game just so you can keep him out of the ASG.

But the truth is, they have the 1 seed basically locked up so maybe this will happen a lot, sitting guys for no reason.

Anybody catch The Resurrection last night? Pure imasculation of Columbus by #97.

    RIP Columbus' psyche.

I can't believe how fast this kid is, unreal.

Three points in his first game back. Do you think he could win the Calder or not enough time?

Probably too late to catch Panarin who's having a nice year in Chicago.

If Eichel is within a few points of Panarin, I think he should win the Calder. The difference in line mates, age and overall team offensive ability if the number of points is close should give it to Eichel.

Tons of Panarin's points are a direct result of playing with Kane. I think that hurts him a little.

I think Larkin has a legit shot to win the Calder. His plus/minus cant be ignored.

I'm convinced McDavid will be better then Crosby was in his greatness.

Eichel also another amazing young player.

I'm jealous...Fuck Edmonton though...They really have been garbage with their team management for so many years.
