I learned a long time ago there is no point in arguing with people who throw the __ist card on a whim. It's just a default bullshit response for the most part.
I wish my Dead Pool picks were sure to come through, I would have picked 4 politicians, 2 from each side to be fair.
Head to toe our government works against the people but sure continue to believe if that is what you want
I don't like him at all, but to be fair he was in a tough position since he has to run for reelection to the Senate.
Cruz run killed Paul. No room for two guys to share the evangelical vote and Paul's lack of orthodoxy (anti-Abortion and anti-Death Penalty) made him the second choice for that group. Huckabee had already gotten the evangelical vote and failed anyway, that group doesn't waste their vote on the same guy twice unless he's the only guy in the field they could vote for.
Cruz will probably pick Fiorina or Christie for VP if he wins. The VP is an attack dog on the campaign trail and Paul is not an attack dog. He's going to want somebody from one of the coasts for balance. Fiorina gives him a theoretical shot in California (not really but he can dream) and Christie gives him a real shot in NJ. Edit: Just realized that Fiorina was born in Texas although she worked in and ran for Senate from California in 2010. Not sure how the rule about both candidates from the same state works, is it residency or birth or both? Re-edit: It's residency. Dick Cheney moved from Texas to Oklahoma in 1999 to get around the rule. Two Texans in the White House explains perfectly how we got into the mess in Iraq.
First of all your reactionary political views here should be no surprise if you get your "information" from such an agenda driven cesspool as mrc tv, the creation of known liar Brent Bozell may he burn in hell. Most of the things on that list involved unproven claims and allegations against her husband, not Hillary. So? Your wife gets a speeding ticket, do the points go on your license? And one of them is Benghazi! LMAO!!! You guys have nothing but shit.
You really think Paul would want to attach himself to a smuck like Cruz? I could see Cruz wanting him but Paul saying thanks but no thanks. I get the feeling Paul does not like Cruz at all... he has been critical of him in the past. Maybe the pull of the job of vice presidency would be too strong, I guess. Rubio/Paul seems like a better fit to me
I love statistics... The latest census charts the population of Iowa as 92% white: http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/19000.html Meanwhile, Iowa GOP voters just cast nearly 63% of their votes to non-"white males" Cruz 51,666 27.6 Trump 45,427 24.3 Rubio 43,165 23.1 Carson 17,395 9.3 Paul 8,481 4.5 Bush 5,238 2.8 Fiorina 3,485 1.9 Kasich 3,474 1.9 Huckabee 3,345 1.8 Christie 3,284 1.8 Santorum 1,783 1.0 Other 119 0.1 Gilmore 12 0.0 Damn that party of "White Males Only!". I Love Statistics!
Paul has also been very critical of Rubio - his lack of attendance on voting and gang of 8 bill comes immediately to mind. Cruz is a tea party guy like Paul. While they certainly have there differences, they share many of the same principles. Rubio was also a tea party guy, but he's a sell out.
yeah but Dr. Paul has the overall good guy reputation going for him. Even Dems who straight up would never have anything to do with tea party politics have respect for Dr. Paul. That's pretty big nationally and that's something that could benefit him later in his political career. maybe he makes a run at the presidency again sometime, who knows. But he attaches himself to a loudmouth butthead like Cruz in what will assuredly be an ugly mudslinging presidential race and he's always going to be seen as Cruz' loudmouth butthead running mate. And if they lose? he's done nationally and will have to hope that he can hang onto his spot in congress
