i think christians, and every other organized religion are more guilty of being close minded if anything. if you don't think their way and accept you know who, you don't get into their afterlife country club, and you're an inadequate human being. you can choose to live a quite good, simple righteous life, and help your fellow man, but if you choose not to be religious, you're hucklefucked. great deal there! where do i sign up?
Oh my god, you should see what the kids promoted from the minors since you've been gone are capable of around here. So, as a practicing Christian with some degree of study on the subject, what do you make of the idea that if you study history you must invariably turn away from Protestantism and towards Catholicism?
There's not much in the history of catholicism that I would want to sign up for. The reason there are other denominations is that people were dissatisfied.
And the hits keep on coming. Ohio Seminary student arrested, charged with trying to arrange sex with infants http://foxbaltimore.com/news/nation...arged-with-trying-to-arrange-sex-with-infants Didn't Truth post something a while back about the church doing such a good job screening their rapists in training?
Yeah, but according to Truth they actively seek out catholic priests to administer last rites at the end. Not making this up.
Waterboy, that's the liberal media attacking again. Gadzooks!! look at that sidewinder! nice fish glaze over the eyes, ok you're not on some heavy narcotics. holy smokers! thats all i got
JANUARY 14, 2016 What Pope Benedict Knew About Abuse in the Catholic Church http://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/what-pope-benedict-knew-about-abuse-in-the-catholic-church
My daughter and her future husband just got back here from 2 days of total bullshit indoctrination called "Pre-Cana". The Church's mandatory and last attempt to convince the weak-minded to become sheep. As I anticipated, they saw through the ruse and thought it was a total waste of time. Smart kids. _
Mass was PACKED today, and it's not even technically a Holy Day of Obligation! As a new book pointed out (can't remember the title), the world is actually still very religious, despite what the mainstream media will try to brainwash you to believe. Or the agenda they try to furiously shove down our throats. In real life, everyday people still go to church in large numbers, and still very much believe in God. (the only logical conclusion when you really understand science and are honest with yourself). Over 90% of people worldwide believe in God, that's a fact. Today you will see many people proudly displaying their ashes on their foreheads, myself included, as we begin Lent, a season to remind ourselves how much we depend on God for literally everything in our lives; after all, we were born into a world with everything there for us, and going all the way back to the Big Bang, there would be no universe if God did not say "Let there be light!" and BOOM, the brilliant explosion that led to the creation of everything out of nothing. Time, space, all matter and energy, EVERYTHING. The physical universe could not have created itself, that's a scientific FACT, and the only logical explanation is that a supernatural metaphysical event must have started it all. Atheistic scientists (a relatively small percentage of all scientists btw) have concocted bizarre, convoluted theories that really don't make sense when you study them carefully (and I have!), they have concocted some wild, nonsensical theories to justify their psychological need to not believe in what otherwise should be obvious to them. It's sad really, but some people, due to being hurt in their lives, have turned away from God and will work hard to concoct ways to fool themselves into believing He doesn't exist, even scientists who should know better! But the millions of believers celebrating the beginning of Lent today don't have to worry about that, we can just enjoy embracing the fullness of Truth that is our Catholic Church worldwide! When I fast, I not only appreciate how much God has given me, but I also grow in Spirituality, the Joy of becoming closer to God, and the money I save I can give to the poor. So it's a WIN-WIN situation, we benefit spiritually and the poor benefit materially (and spiritually).
