i don't see it CBG. I think you are looking at 4" . Euro and gfs didn't move that far. That high to the north is too strong
Fjf I keep checking the gurus on the other site,,,they are saying that there is a chance that Washington gets spared the brunt,,,have you looked at that site ? They are putting up model pics and say this thing is picking up a ton of moisture ,,,thoughts ?
Yea. I just checked in there. I just don't see it getting more north. I believe that high pressuee snow shield will keep it down. Hope i am wrong but i don't see it. 12z nam continues to put us in it though. On a side note. That forum is like the game day thread here.

I'm about 50% on the lingo. So gfs shifts another 20 miles north. This could really put nyc in double digits and pushes the snow line slightly higher that i84.
Tell jay i am drowning here. Also air up the snow tubes. I think you are going to be closer to 8" Euro out in 2 hours. Need it to cone north a little more
From what I've been told, the NAM is ignoring the massive high pressure system in place over Canada that is basically a brick wall to this storm moving up too much. So if you're looking for high snow totals for NY-CT, then you have to keep looking at that high pressure system. If it moves out of the way the snow will come, if not we'll get the smaller numbers
Yea. I don't think anyone is taking the numbers from the nam seriously, they are huge numbers, but every other model has shifted north on each run since the nam dropped that bomb yesterday afternoon. Few of the weather guys on that other forum think you can split the gfs and nam numbers. I think that is still too high for LHV but something to look at. @CBG this time yesterday your weekend plans included mowing the grass now you want feet?
