I mean, they benched a star receiver for a quarter of a playoff game for making foot jokes in a press conference, but this wasn't worthy of anything?
Yeah, I don't disagree with most of this. Having said that, it's the playoffs. It's insane to think the Patriots would sit a top 3 player on their defense. How many games did Sheldon miss for driving at 95 MPH under the influence with a kid in his car?
At minimum, depending on his history, he'll be put on the mandatory test list. In all of the previous drug related situations, the punishment takes affect the following season after investigation and a hearing...
So he won't be tested in the near future and likely be clean by the time he is tested? Seems like bs for this case. He was caught red handed, and apologized to his team for the mistake. This says substance abuse only applies to certain teams/players.
Name one player that was immediately suspended or put on the testing program immediately after a public incident. So why weren't Leveon Bell and your guy Richardson immediately punished by the league? You don't want equal justice you want fuck the Patriots player justice. Big surprise there.
Questions that need to be answered first: 1) Was it synthetic marijuana, and has synthetic marijuana been added to the banned substances list (it was not on the previous list when Kellen Winslow got busted for it); if not synthetic marijuana, was it something else that is on the banned substances list. 2) Was Chandler Jones previously in Stage 1 of the protocol. Once these answers are known, the Drug Policy clearly states the course of action moving forward.
Leveon Bell and Richardson were both punished... so far nothing for your boy Jones...who turned himself into police, and apologized to his team. You don't want equal justice; you want your busted Patriots player mistake swept under the rug.
Pats have the foxboro police chief as central security director for Gillette stadium Someone called in local douchebaggery radio and said Ne has published plaquards all around interior of the stadium on where not to drive , what dui checkpoints to avoid and who to call.....the cleaner Every team has these folks but there is trhe usual conflict of interest
Leveon Bell was arrested on August 20, 2014. He was suspended in April of 2015 for the first 3 games of 2015, which started on September 10, or 13 months after the incident.
