What a great way to survive 8 hours on the road today being able to listen to both of today's games. THANK YOU Westwood One Radio Network. Can't wait to wade through today's posts to see the reactions.
I left at the start of the first game and got back shortly after the second one ended. You may say they were'nt exciting to watch, but listening to them certainly made my day bearable. I mapped my route then looked up all the Westwood One affiliates and had a print-out in the car. As I lost one signal, I just tuned in to the next.
Or you could just download cbs sports app and play that during the trip. The mobile data would rack up though.
Yeah, I have that app, but I save that for plan B. I share data with two teenagers, so I grab the free terrestrial whenever I can lol....
thats fantastic! i can listen to a football game on the radio, its not as good as a baseball game. i am convinced that a good radio broadcast of a baseball game is probably better than having it on tv. maybe its because when i was a kid i used to get sent to bed at 8 and was allowed to listen to the mets as i fell asleep listening to bob murphy. hockey and basketball on the other hand are infuriating to listen to. every time i turn on wfan these days i get annoyed, its either francesser or a nets or some shit hockey game on.
Oh I agree. I love baseball season, because whether I'm mowing the lawn, cleaning the pool, camping, hiking, or taking long family trips while the rest of the family takes a nap, there's always a baseball game on somewhere that passes my time.
I grew up listening to the Mets games on the radio. When they had west coast games, I had to go to bed during the game, but I'd leave the radio on.
I only have money on Bovada at the moment and it's already +3.5(-110) there. What do you think my chances are that it goes to +4 or maybe +3.5 with a better price? I'm thinking of waiting
For me it was the Yanks and those brutal West coast trips where the Canseco/McGwire A's would routinely lay a pair of TD's and a field goal on em every game.
I think if your plan is to bet on Denver I would probably wait till game day...I think most of the money is gonna be on N.E. If your betting N.E. I would probably bet now and maybe even buy a point to get it under 3.
I agree about waiting it out, though I hate getting burned for waiting too long. When I was serious about sports betting I had many accounts so line shopping was a lot easier, but now with just 1 it's much more difficult. Bovada is known as a "square book" so you assume people on there will be beating NE. What you fear is a bunch of wiseguys coming in late and betting the other side and thus moving the line.
Anyone else feel sick watching the playoffs the last 2 weeks as a Jets fan? I honestly feel the Jets would have handled the Bengals and given the Broncos a better fight than the Steelers did. We obviously will never know, and the Jets had a hard time beating Dallas in Dallas and lost to the Bills in Buffalo Week 17, so they could have lost in Cincy or Denver. However, Denver does not look that good right now. I also feel the Jets would give the Patriots a better fight in NE than the Broncos will give the Patriots in Denver. Definitely frustrating.
Honestly watching the AFC games has just annoyed me...the only team I am remotely impressed with is N.E. which makes it even more depressing. Even though all these games have been close and wild I am not enjoying this playoff season in the least.
I don't think Fitzpatrick has a good game against the Denver D especially with the running game disappearing late in the year and the Jets season would've ended yesterday. Also possible they could've been one and done as Cincy was better top to bottom and the NFL wouldn't have given the Jets as favorable calls as they did Pittsburgh but Cincy are choke artists so who knows. Either way I doubt they would've made a run at the AFCCG. it doesn't matter anyway because week 17 was basically a playoff game and they lost
I started watching the late game yesterday, got bored, stopped watching in the first quarter. Just caught up on this thread, looks like I didn't miss anything.
