First of all, he said that 16+ years ago. Does he still share the same views? Frankly, I don't care. I care only about issues that affect my every day life. Gay marriage. Does that affect me in any way? No. Will it affect me in 10 years? Most likely no. Btw, ever since the Supreme Court ruled in favor gay marriage, the whole gay marriage hysteria has pretty much gone away. Gays in military. Does it affect me? No. Will it ever affect me? No. I think it's the army who should make decisions on this subject. Pro-choice/abortions. Once again it has zero effect on my life, nor will it ever have any impact on my life. It's like you're driving a car with an engine that's about to die but that small dent on the rear bumper concerns you much more. I'd want to fix the engine first.
people shit on where I live every day in the media. We dont complain at all about it the way the NYC people did with this. I guess this makes you "tough" New Yorkers not so tough and thick skinned in the end.
This interview is what Cruz was referring to in the debate. He was using Trumps own words, which apparently Trump now finds disgraceful. It will be a cold day in hell when any Republican wins New York anyway. Cruz didn't lose anything by saying what he did.
Only his credibility. 2 loans undisclosed from NY but rips NY values. Stand up guy. Wasn't even born on US soil and was a dual citizen that he was "unaware of" until 15 months ago.
I assure you his comments about NY values didn't offend anyone outside of NYC. Try not to be so thin skinned about it next time. New Yorkers are supposed to be tough guys.
Mike Royko had a great line about why midwesterners dislike New York. Something about it being crowded, dirty and full of young women wearing short skirts and boots that they wish they could meet in their own towns but never do.
I dont mind visiting NY or Chicago for a few days. But good lord I could never live there and you couldn't pay me enough to live in those areas.
