First of all, he said that 16+ years ago. Does he still share the same views? Frankly, I don't care. I care only about issues that affect my every day life. Gay marriage. Does that affect me in any way? No. Will it affect me in 10 years? Most likely no. Btw, ever since the Supreme Court ruled in favor gay marriage, the whole gay marriage hysteria has pretty much gone away. Gays in military. Does it affect me? No. Will it ever affect me? No. I think it's the army who should make decisions on this subject. Pro-choice/abortions. Once again it has zero effect on my life, nor will it ever have any impact on my life. Mike Royko had a great line about why midwesterners dislike New York. Something about it being crowded, dirty and full of young women wearing short skirts and boots that they wish they could meet in their own towns but never do.
I dont mind visiting NY or Chicago for a few days. But good lord I could never live there and you couldn't pay me enough to live in those areas.
