This team has less talent than Philadelphia. Can't end well

Better QB who fits chips scheme more than Bradford foles or Muck ever did, but other than that, agree with you

Good hire if they want to revive Kapernick with that college play shit. I don't they had much of a choice there. They took a gamble. If it works, fine. If not, they will pick in top 5 next year.

Any team hiring Chip Kelly is not a good hire.

The guy single handedly destroyed that team in Philly. Word is, San Francisco was his only option left to coach in the NFL. Gives you an idea of what every other franchise thought of him. Hell, even Tennessee didn't make him an offer where his qb from college is

I think this is a good move for the niners. They owe Kap a ton of money , rather then cut him and have all that dead money on the books they're gonna try to put him in an offense that can feature his skill set

Evaluating him as a GM has nothing to do with his coaching ability ^^^ granted he hasn't been great at coaching either.

Agreed. Chip took the leading rusher in the NFL 2014 and turned him into a scrub. His biases and failure assess talent accurately will be the death of his NFL career

    DeMarco Murray
    2014 - 392att 1845yds #1 in NFL 4.7yds a carry 13TD 115yds/game
    2015 - 193att 702yds #27 in NFL 3.8yds a carry 6TD 47yds/game

Chip Kelly is an idiot. Running out of the shotgun doesn't work, unless you have a quarterback that can throw the ball. The passing game must be feared for the running game to be effective out of shotgun.

Wow, I honestly thought it was either the Titans or back to college. Seems like he really wanted to still coach in the NFL.

I take it the Titans wanted nothing to do with Chip Kelly.

I'm not talking specifically about his gm moves. I'm talking about him all together as a coach and gm.

    He's terrible

Not a Kelly fan but teaming him up with Kapernick is not the worst idea in the world. He wont have any say in personnel and maybe he has developed some people skills over the past few months. lol

Falco. I am experienced enough not to get into any football discussion with you. Risk/reward hire for 49ers. They risk one year but they at least test Kap with Chip. Not a bad hire. Stop crying like a 15 year old girl who recently lost her virginity.

What makes anyone think that Kelly can revive Kaepernick when Harbaugh couldn't?

I don't see how Chip "ruined" a team that went 4-12 the year before he got there. Maybe he could have made some better moves as far as player acquisition but I think firing him was a mistake.

Only you would know what a 15 year old girl sounds like who lost their virginity.

I could give a shit who San Fran hires, but to sit here and think he was a good hire, is ridiculous, in my opinion. He is a terrible NFL head coach. He's trying to bring college play into a league of men. It's not gonna happen. It failed in Philly and it will fail in San Francisco. When you hire a head coach, you don't hire a guy who may give you a good year or may not. You hire a guy you feel is a good fit long term. Head coaches aren't like players. They don't just come and go. It's very tough finding a head coach.

Let's say Chip fails. San Francisco is now looking for another coach. Players will be looking to play for their third head coach and the continuity is completely gone. No development can be made between coaches and players. Reminds me a lot of Cleveland. Players are coming out saying it's ridiculous how many coaches they've been through and how they don't know if they want to even continue playing with that franchise.

This was a horrible hire. Somewhere deep in Michigan, Jim Harbaugh is laughing his ass off

He gutted the roster. Did he really expect to win with Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor as his WR instead of Maclin, Jackson, and Matthews? Byron Maxwell was a product of Seattle's scheme and he gave him a massive deal. He traded his best running back for a linebacker coming off an ACL tear. He wasn't fired soon enough. He's a college coach and nothing more.
