1st Bills game and Texas, throw in Oakland too.....Those are the games where we fell short.... we weren't good enough Kellen Davis' presence repels footballs like like magnetic poles
There's a difference between a ball that was dropped and a ball knocked away. A big difference. Mario Butler got there and made a great play.
Devin Smith drop in Houston. Brandon Marshall drop on NE. Brandon Marshall lateral vs Philly. Devin Smith vs Buffalo. Fitzpatrick showing up as Shitzpatrick in Buffalo. If it wasn't for these, undefeated. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Very easy for you, on your couch, to say that. I'd suggest you take another look from a couple of angles. Period.
Trust me I wasn't sitting at the time. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/CantMiss_Play_Tarpleys_gamewinning_interception/2871be07-36e2-4b45-b692-5c23a3e67c3e Still believe ball should have been held onto.
Both Buffalo games and Houston were our worst games...Should have won all 3. The 1st Buffalo game after blocking the punt...Blame Gailey for that one. Runs a sweep with Ivory for 9. Then LT with Ivory for loss of 1 or 2. Then, I think 2 incomplete passes. He should have ran Sheldon Richardson for the 1yard, picked up the 1st down...and punched it in with Ivory or Richadson for the final score. That was a brutal loss after blocking the punt. Buffalo fans paraded and sang songs in our stadium while miserable Jets fans took the long way home. Brutal, brutal way to lose. Houston against their 3rd string QB. Aging Revis exposed badly on the "island", and toasted by Deandre Hopkins. Jets never showed up for this game. 2nd Buffalo game, Fitzpatrick interception when we are in "chip shot" field goal range that would have given the Jets a late lead. Buffalo stadium was dead, Jets had everything on the line and we could have stuck a dagger in Rex's fat fucking heart. Brutal loss, season/playoff ending. You could add the Oakland loss, but Jets again didn't show up for some reason and Fitz got knocked out early. After Fitz got knocked out the Jets threw in the towel. Carr was dropping dimes on this day too...everyone got smoked. You could also add the Pats first game...Marshall drops easy TD that would have given the Jets a late cushion and really applied pressure to Brady and Pats. PS Quigly sucks. and special shout out to the 2015 Jets special teams, a "special" bunch indeed. Shout out to Mauldin, L. Willams and Rontez Miles. 3 young defenders that look to make big impact plays in 2016. Rontez Miles should easily be starting over Gilchrist. Gilchrist is slow as molasses; decent making plays on the ball, but if anyone gets behind him, he is toast, not fast at all. Don't like Gilchrist as our "last" defender, want more speed, Miles seems tougher, faster and just overall better athlete...hopefully Miles can take the next step and become a starter.
Yea, Sproles killed our punt coverage and the linebackers got burned on the wheel. Marshall was having a day, I think over 10 catches, but some really bone headed decisions like the pitch and I think a key drop in the end zone. Eagles being NFC wasn't as devastating as the other imo, although a win would have gotten us in. Also, we were injured going into that game...I think Mangold, Ivory, Powell were all banged up. We are going to have to address Oline and running back in the off season. Ivory is good, but not feature worthy. When one of those 2 can't go our running game becomes anemic. We need a guy that can pick up 1yd...Ivory is terrible at the 1yd and everything situations. We need a refrigerator for those short down situations...Sheldon Richardson, Jerome Bettis, Big man that can't be tackled on first contact, falls forward and gets the 1yd. Oline must be addressed... I think we need another running back too.
Short yardage and goalline plays lack imagination, how many teams slip a TE into the back of the end zone for an easy TD, not us, not since Mickey Shuler it seems
It really is astounding to me that any professional athlete could possible suck as bad as Devin Smith does.
I still don't understand why Fitz was forcing the ball into the endzone there vs Buffalo. Ivory wide open for a checkdown.
