If only both teams could've lost………

Still, Cincinnati went full Chernobyl at the end.

Basically that's what happened. The Bengals lost the game, the Steelers got a hurt Ben/Brown and maybe got exposed a little bit for being the phonies they are.

He hit Brown well after the ball was past him.

Look at it again. The ball was well past Brown as Burfict approached him from the side. He had a perfect view of it.. He could've pulled up easily on that. No excuse

You're wrong. Sorry. I'm not going to argue with you about it. Go watch the replay. He had 3 yards to pull up.

It looked as if he was looking down as the ball popped off Brown's hand.

    Dion makes a good point.

Regardless, the refs decided this game. 30 yards of penalty at the very end of a game.

He honed in on Brown like a hawk. He saw the whole thing and made sure he hit brown with his shoulder

Just watched another angle of Burfict's hit.

    Head shot, fuck him.

being an old LB, i usually side with the LB's on the bang bang plays, as their job is to make the hit.

but in this case, Burfict had enough time to easily pull up.
he laid his shoulder right into Brown's head instead. might not have meant to hurt him, but he was looking to lay a hit knowing the ball sailed by.
i had no problem with that flag.

I think the defenseless receiver and crown of the helmet rules are different. Bernard was a runner, but Shazier hit him with the crown of his helmet and that should have been a penalty http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...-crownofhelmet-change-to-help-runner-defender

I didn't say it was a good call. I didn't say Porter should have been on the field. I'm saying the Bengals players were losing their cool and Lewis should have been more proactive and got Jones away from that.

Hey, I wanted Cincy to win.

I also think Munchak should be fined for grabbing that dude's dreads. He was flagged for it.

Meanwhile the Chiefs won their first playoff game of the millennium and you'll never hear about it again. Not even tomorrow morning.

haha, i actually wanted Pitt to win.

but this game was just sleazy all around.
yeah Lewis probably should have pulled his team over. Tomlin should have too.
but neither coach, nor the refs, had any control over this game after the non-call on that Shazier hit, followed up by the Pitt players taunting and dancing. that's where it all changed, and it was a powderkeg to begin with.

so throwing that flag there, where both teams were jawing, just doesn't sit well with me.
i still want to know why Porter was on the field talking shit during an injury.

If it stayed as both teams just jawing, then there's no doubt nothing is called. Instead, out of nowhere, Pacman bowls into three officials, running up the back of one, to talk shit or get at JERRY Porter.

He got the penalty for being a moron, and deservedly so.
