I think Elliot is a great player if you look at his entire skillset. He is a complete back and someone that would fit in extremely well in this offense. Especially when you look at areas like receiving and pass blocking, he is the best back in this draft in every aspect of the RB position except maybe break away speed. I would have a hard time believing that there would be many if any better prospects sitting there at 20 if he is still on the board. I think he is an instant starter who very easily can develop into one of the best RB's in the league. I'm extremely high on Zeke. OSU fan or not.
Also, I don't get the Bosa hype train. I think he will be a good pro, a good player, but I don't believe he will be a dominate player in the NFL at all. He certainly isn't worth the #1 pick, I wouldn't draft him in the top 10 honestly. I truly believe he is a broke mans Ryan Kerrigan, which is solid but not great. Just saying.
What's Urban Myer have to do with anything? You don't like OSU players? I wouldn't say that about any program, its not the program you evaluate, its the player. OSU has produced many great NFL players and they will continue to do so, not every player will be a success but that's the nature of the beast.
We don't need anything in any specific round. What we need is bpa, every round. You will fail in the draft if you reach for guys based on need and the round you are in. You develop a board of the best players. You take who is there when you pick from that board. If that's Elliot, you take Elliot in round one
Urban Meyer recruits a lot of scumbags. Hence I'm leery about anyone coming out of his program. Also, on the field, his system doesn't prepare certain positions very well for the NFL. I'm not saying Elliott is a scumbag or not prepared for the NFL, idk either way on that one but I said he's a real talent. I wouldn't mind if the Jets drafted him but I am not going to change my opinion on ohio state and meyer
David Johnson, Matt Jones, Karlos Williams, Thomas Rawls -- running backs picked in the 3rd round or later of the 2015 draft. Meanwhile the hyped guys like Melvin Gordon, Tevin Coleman, Ameer Abdullah and Jay Ajayi didn't produce immediate impacts. Go find me one of these guys in the 4th round.
I saw him play several games later in the season and he was making an impact as a runner and I think also as a receiver out of the backfield.
