Does any one know why the last game of the season has been on the road since 2010?Is there a reason for this ?In the last 5 seasons our last game of the year has been on the road.We haven't had a Week 17 home game since 2010 also our last playoff appearance.I'm just curious to know why that is
It's really not a terrible point. We are the only team to not have a Week 17 home game since 2010. The Jags, Rams and Eagles all had their last one in 2011. It isn't a conspiracy, but there's a realistic possibility that the league is actually catering to the Giants. EDIT: And other favorites (i.e. Cowboys, Pats, Steelers, etc.)
Yeah and why the fuck do they schedule us against the Eagles every preseason? And then the Giants. I was taught not to believe in coincidences. Something stinks I tell ya. _
The whole process is pretty convoluted when you think about it. Opponents are determined first, then they have to work backwards with the scheduling, balancing home/away games, opponents after bye weeks, London teams getting a bye the week after, try not to have to much cross country travel, short weeks with a Thursday game, etc etc. Then the added difficulty of sharing a stadium with the Giants. Then on top of all of that, they have to factor in other commitments by either the stadium or the city. Gillette hosted the NHL Winter Classic this year, making it necessary for NEP to play their last two games on the road. That right there throws a major cog into the Jets scheduling when you consider two games need to be scheduled against them, up against the constraints of sharing a stadium.
Perhaps part of the reason we have such bad luck and morale as a franchise is that we dont have our own stadium and share it with a much more successful franchise? Can make it hard for the team to feel like they can beat anyone
Oh c'mon. MetLife is our stadium. When I go to games I don't think about the Giants. (Except when I went in '11 when we were playing against the Giants, ugh...)
I honestly think we beat the Bills 10000 % if the 2 games were reversed and the season finale was at home !
How dare both of you for recognizing flaws in what has been unfailingly promoted as a formulaic system. Put your tin foil hats on, you freaks, you aren't letting propaganda jizz into your mouth like the good citizens of America.
