I like him too!!! every time I watch that Broncos team play this kid is making plays. The guy was all over the field in the SEC too with Kentucky. I remember being stunned they got him in the sixth round. Very underrated player that could make plays in this defense too if he becomes available
TE receiving Stats for teams for which Gailey was HC or OC: 2015 - NYJ - 8 - 95 - 1 2012 - BUF - 74 - 893 - 7 2011 - BUF - 99 - 1047 - 11 2010 - BUF - 39 - 386 - 4 2008 - KC - 103 - 1112 - 10 2001 - MIA - 22 - 242 - 2 2000 - MIA - 28 - 205 - 1 1999 - DAL - 45 - 453 - 7 1998 - DAL - 36 - 451 - 3 1997 - PIT - 24 - 52 - 6 1996 - PIT - 14 - 155 - 0 I think it's more than a little BS to say he's ALWAYS used his TEs throughout his career.
Good call on Allen. I didn't know him. I looked him up. He played at Clemson, so he's probably a good player. In 2014 he had 8 TDs in 13 games. He's probably fairly cheap. Sounds like he would be a definitely upgrade over Cumberland and Davis, and maybe over Amaro.
It's not bs dude, are you for real?. Did you actually look at what you posted? When Gailey has TE's they catches passes, lot's of them. When you have dreck who the fuck would throw to them? It's bullshit to say nevermind with the TE's with Gailey 'cause he wouldn't use them. That's just plain dumb. TE's kill in the league now if you can get one, and to imply Gailey wouldn't, or couldn't, use one is a lot of bullshit
Thanks for looking this up and posting it. Conversely, some posters have claimed that Gailey never used TEs in his offense. That's BS too. As I suspected, if he has a good TE, he will find a way to make use of him. I'd love to see the add Jets Dwight Allen or Ladarius Green or even Ben Watson at TE. Pair one of them with Sudfeld and add another OT as the 3rd TE and barring injury, we'll have a MUCH better TE corps next season.
also guys... while we certainly could use a TE pickup I'll just say that Enunwa was basically playing TE most of the second half of the year. Just because he was listed as a WR in the program doesn't mean he wasn't playing the position. Basically- Gailey was using a TE, Enunwa.
I would love to add Doug Martin, but can't see any way that will happen. For starters, I can't see TB letting him bet away, and they have already begun negotiations to re-sign him. Secondly, even if TB and he can't come to terms, I can't see the Jets being able to afford him.
Just to throw this out there... if we had even average ST play, we could have easily won 3 more games. We need to find a punter, a return man and guys who can block and tackle for this unit.
Whoever else we sign, we absolutely have to draft or sign a kick returner and punt returner. Our lack of a return game has killed us on field position for years. Its a travesty if we go into next season without anyone, again.
Not really sure why we keep seeing Doug Martin mentioned. Guy rushed for 1400 yards in 2 of the last 4 seasons. We are already talking about not being able to afford Ivory with the other signings we have to take care of.
3 years out of 11 his teams TEs totaled more than 45 catches. Not just his starter, all TEs. If that's using them throughout his career to you, then that's fine by me. To me, it says that if he can find somebody other than a TE to have the QB throw it to, he will. Now, if you had said he gets the ball passed to RBs, I'd be on board with that assessment.
Your original post here discounted even bothering to look at TE options moving forward, like it was foolish for people to even discuss it, to just use an OT. And implied Gailey was the reason. That he doesn't, or won't, bother with a TE. Then you want to say that it's BS that he uses them. And now you want to micro analyze each year as to what extent he's used them. C'mon man....... The point is he does use them. And when he has them they do damage, and score TD's. He just had shit to work with this year It's not about him, it's about the players. The idea is to get good football players and use them. He can Coach anybody. A good TE would help Fitz and the O immeasurably. Like it does every team in the league He's not running a certain O in spite of the players he has, or is he rigid, or narrow viewed in what he does. If anything his resume shows that he'll use whatever he can. That pass to Kellen Davis at the end of the 1st Buffalo game was an exercise in futility. A decent TE would've caught that for the win.
