God only knows why we didn't upgrade the ST with all the compensatory draft picks in 2014. Rather than drafting Tajh Boyd and other shit backups for skill positions, we should have invested in a punter and a kicker at the minimum.
The fact that they didn't send Bobby April packing yesterday worries me. I think they gonna give him a pass for his 1st year as they will look to bring in more talent at special teams. I still think, however, that Bobby April is a major part of the problem and we need to bring someone else in.
I don't think Tupa was great either. He was better than the rest of the bums that we've had since then and he could even play QB if needed (which he was probably better at than Geno).

"I appreciate their contributions this past season and wish them success in the future.” I applaud the move but I have to disagree with Todd here. I don't appreciate anything they "contributed" and I don't wish them any success either.
This certainly bodes well for Bowles as a head coach. When was the last time Rex fired an assistant coach? Shottenheimer?
I mean whatever if you want to blame the coaching but I doubt even Westhoff wouldve done much better with this bunch .
I'm impressed! Bowles isn't f'n around. The longer he's an HC, the better he'll get overall. By acknowledging his staff had issues, he's already showing promise. First Coples, now April. Time to form the Post Season Conga Line!!!
Amazed how quickly you people make threads. Just read the news and thought that I finally had the chance to break out some news on this forum. Back on topic: I am very impressed with Bowles decision to get rid of the special teams brain trust. Although they sucked, I assumed that he was going to give them another year to get their act together. This combined with the Coples cut shows he doesn't mess around. Wish I had some insight into offensive line coach Ron Heller dismissal. Overall I think the OL held up pretty well.
He put that bunch together. You can't tell me we just happen to have the worst special teams players in the NFL. It's the scheme. Plus all the dumb penalties. He just sucks. Westhoff takes this unit over he'll turn it around within 2 years.
Good move. Quigely hopefully follows April....at some point. Can't go through that shit with him again. Fuck that
c'mon man, it's just PC bullshit everyone says when they let someone go. You'll never hear how he really feels about him.
