On the interception in the end zone, Chris Ivory releases on a swing pass to the right side and is uncovered on the play. Looked like he'd at least get a first down... maybe he scores if he can make someone miss. Just one more thing that frustrates me about this game.

I think we all will be thinking about that INT until next season starts. It fucking sucks, we had the momentum and literally had the Bills by the throat because they were not stopping anyone. Fitz decided to go gunslinger and it cost us.

He said in post game that he was only reading left side of field on play. Sounded like he knew about Ivory being open, when he was questioned.

    Thanks for fucking reminding me...

But what bothers me is that yeah, he had Ivory, but McKelvin ran Deckers route and was so tightly covering him. Don't understand that throw at all. Just go for the first down and if worst comes to worst, we kick a FG and get a 1 point lead a that point. We wasted so much time there to have Fitz throw a pick. It kills me.

It was also the same exact final score of the last game.If Bullock doesn't miss that kick and Fitz doesn't throw an int two field goals would have been enough for the lead.Bad execution

I wouldn't lose much sleep over it........ I have no doubt in my mind even if we scored a TD on that drive, we would have found a way to screw ourselves out of the win...... Because historically nobody comes up smaller in big games than us......

Horrendous decision for sure, But ...
That INT wasn't a back breaker. It should have been a temporary setback. Even after the INT there was still 10:40 left in a 2 point game. We had the Bills on their 23 yard line facing a 3rd and 7 at 10:09. All we needed to do was get the ball back at that point and drive for a FG with an eternity left on the clock ... but we let them complete a 3rd and 7 to Greg Freakin' Salas for 20 yards!!!! After that, the defense continued to shit the bed and we didn't see the ball again until 3:49 down by 5. A goddamn 7 minute drive with the season on the line. Thank you Defense. Nice fucking job.

Fitz has a gun slinger mentality. He's a quality QB but he throws plenty of questionable passes throughout a game, in particular on deeper routes. It was an atrocious decision, no excuse. Decker was never open.

You have to be so careful with the ball in that situation.

    1. A FG puts you ahead.

    2. You've had trouble moving the ball all day and are finally in a position to take the lead.

    3. It's the 4th quarter

    4. Your season is on the line.

Fitz had a great year and deserves a contract to be our QB while we develop a young guy, but that pass was inexcusable.

That and the Todd Bowles clock management 'clinic' at the end of both halves.

He did that the entire game, he's been doing that all year. Enunwa, Decker (Powell in the past) are always wide open (over the middle, in the flat) and Fitz will simply just stare down Brandon and hope he comes through. Which a lot of times works, but sometimes you kind of want to be smart and throw the ball to whoever is open instead of forcing it to Marshall all the time.

Yeah, that throw was disappointing, but Fitz had been playing over his head the entire year. The "elite" defense played like dogshit the whole game, and really underperformed the entire season.

The call by Gailey was inexcusable, run the ball and start killing some clock, you are in position to take the lead and put the pressure on the bills.

An OC with his experience should have been aware of the great position the jets were in, on the road and playing catchup all game, It was bad play calling.

Ehh, a FG attempt puts us up by 1 point if our kicker makes it. We needed a TD there IMO. But worst case scenario, you have to come away with it least settling for a FG try, so I agree with that. I don't have a problem with the call though. Fitz shouldn't be throwing the ball to a guy who isn't open. That's on him, not Gailey.
