He'll steal the next Quinton Coples or third string Clemson wildcat QB right out from under us.

It was all in because the roster wasn't built for the future it was for this season only. And that roster was on the verge of the post season this season and failed. That failure defines the season because the success isn't carrying over.

How is it possible the Bills are only one spot ahead of us? They were 8-8 and we were 10-6...there were no 9-7 nonplayoff teams in either conference?

You can sign a group of stop gap players to stay competitive and not be all in. What one big move did they make that sold you (before the season started) that they were really all in?

The problem, if he suffered a serious injury, and I really hope that's not the case, is that the Jets window to franchise him may be gone. They can't commit $16M guaranteed to a player they don't know will be able to play next year, and if they do that with him injured they're on the hook for the whole deal.

If he's really hurt they're going to have to make that decision before they know if he can play next year and at what level.

It was the worst possible outcome for both sides. It's like a punishment to the Jets and Mo for not working something out while they had a chance.

I smoked weed right after the game. If I didn't, I probably would have burned something big and expensive and would probably be in jail.

So yeah, I understand your mindset.

No, it was NOT a successful season. Not by old school standards.

The minimum for a successful season is to be one of the 12 teams that makes the playoffs. Anything less than that, and you're just a team going home early trying to pretend that it was a contender.

No team is committing 16m to a player that broke his leg in wk17 unless it's a nonsense move like Rex (can't afford it) or teams like Washington or Oakland who have no reason to.

Wilk is fucked, unless the Jets see a really bad break on Xray and let him walk, he'll be back for far less money than they offered him.

By old school standards, 12 teams didn't make the playoffs.

    Just saying.

Sounds sarcastic, but I'll take it. I'd look at this season from similar vantage point. If at all, I didn't think this team was capable of postseason run anyway, but was pleasantly surprised that they barely missed. What the Jets do this off-season will define who they are. I'm willing to give it a serious look this year.

P.S. Who is that dude in your avatar? You can't be looking that cool. [Just kidding]

When taken from the perspective that everyone was still stoked coming into week 17 ( as opposed to EVERYONE packing it in when the team was 5-5), then yes, it was successful.

When taken from the perspective that Rex swept this team out of the playoffs, it blow monkey chunks

Kurt Motherfucking Russell in John Carpenter's 1981 remake of The Thing, best horror movie ever.

And I thought this team was capable of 8-8, although that was assuming Geno was the passer. It was almost an entirely new team.

How was this a successful season? They blew it in horrible fashion.
