The last two are obviously more symbolic, but the first blew the game in typical Fitzpatrick fashion. He is who he's always been.
[QUOTE="GreenFan15J, post: 3395632, member: 21481" There is always next year[/QUOTE] After almost 50 years, I am quickly running out of next years.
No they havent, and i said this earlier and ill say it again. The jets have only won 3 games this season when trailing AT ANY POINT in the game. I also noted that the jets played much better for the most part at the end of halfs rather than the beginning. Hows adjustments been a strength? It hasnt been. Its been inconsistent. Ive said that all season. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Yea, I know, I know. Before the season I figured it would be 2-3 seasons before we had a a roster that could be considered to be NFL complete. Overall they did a pretty good job but wow Kellen Davis? If you dislike Kerley that much and Milliner that much cut the guys and get somebody that can at least return kicks and/or play gunner. Hell, we could have dropped one and had an open audition for punters with the last roster spot. Be the first team ever to carry 2 punters. It couldn't have been any worse than having some of these guys.
I think the front office threw a lot of talent and money at the biggest holes. For the most part they made good decisions (Carpenter, Marshall, Fitz). What a new GM can not do is go back four years and fix the drafts to give us more depth. When injuries to Willie Colon and Jace Amaro cripple your team you have some more work to do. Rome wasn't built in a day (or in one off-season).
I'm running out of next years as well. The Jets just plain suck at coming back from adversity. They won ten games and for that I am grateful. They seen like a team that could back-slide into 8 or 9 wins next year. They don't have the QB of the future.
Aye, gonna double down on the two punter thing and add that we should have dropped Bohanon for a situation kicker as well.
SAME OLD J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS. Originally when I thought this team would not be good I would have been satisfied with just beating the Giants and one of the Pats games. They build you up and just make you think there is hope just to knock you back down. If that is not Classic same old jets I dont know what is
Maybe, the Jets will take this terrible hurt into next season and deliver it to every opponent that crosses their path.
Can we at least agree that he make-up of this team is all wrong in the long haul? There are too many of the certain type of players to win. Maybe next year.
Looks like this is the first choke job for a lot of those players in that locker room. If they stick around long enough, they will learn to get accustomed to the disappointments and become desensitized to them.
Agree. This is really the first full off-season for him to make some changes to fit Bowles' system. I am sure they saw some things they need to revamp. Hopefully, Mac will make some impact moves and draft picks.
Another season ends with Rex keeping the Jets out of the playoffs. How many times will this particular nightmare repeat itself? Another year with more holes in the roster coming out of the season than going into it.
