No Thursday night, no Monday night, all the games on Sunday with a lot in the balance. Denver, KC, Cincy, Pittsburgh all with important games this week. Chip Kelly already gone, is this the end for Coughlin? Maybe if OBJ loses his mind again. Maybe Rex? Pagano? Sean Payton? Pettine? Is this the end for Peyton? Oh, and Fuck Tom Brady. _
I don't like the late game on the last Sunday. I wouldn't want us to have to play that late game and then maybe have to go the road next game; disadvantage. Fun to watch tho Play three games Saturday with one at prime time. 1:30,5, and 8:30
I think the issue there is they don't want to give anyone the advantage of the extra day heading into the playoffs. Everyone plays Sunday, everyone gets the same rest and prep time. Although I agree, I wish there were games tomorrow. _
Right, that makes sense too. I didn't think of that. The night game is less of a disadvantage, in just hours....And the NFL makes it's money on the night game at least
It's going to be interesting to see how the Giants handle Coughlin. They need to get rid of him and Jerry Reese and get one last regime to make a Superbowl push for Eli. Tough to fire a 2x Superbowl winning coach though.
Tough titties. I want to see them squirm. I hope they get blown out and Coughlin refuses to leave setting up a showdown. _
Don't wildcard playoff games still fall on Saturdays? There's no way there would have been any today due to the NFL's agreement with the NCAA.
Yes but they could have played tomorrow but that would have been unfair to the teams playing Sunday. If you have a WC game next Saturday everyone is at the same disadvantage. _
Underrated storyline going into this week. There's a good chance that the loser in tomorrow nights game between GB and MIN will have to go to Washington. Instead of hosting Seattle. Maybe its just me but I think both of those teams are better off losing. I can see either of em going into Washington and winning , but cant see either team beating Seattle at home.
Yeah, I have said this since last Sunday Night! So true. There is a scenario where a Packers win and a Seahawks win would send Minnesota to the Packers AGAIN in back to back weeks. Tough to see Seattle beating the Cardinals though.
Probably depends a lot on what the Panthers/Bucs game looks like at halftime. I think the NFL moved that game from 1pm to the same time as the Cards game just to keep things interesting I guess. If the Panthers had the #1 seed locked up it would've made no sense for the Cards to play any of their starters against Seattle. Now they'll altleast have to play em for a little bit. Cant see Tampa upsetting Carolina though.
Pats need to start playing or they could lose that #1 seed. It would be pretty amazing if Denver ended up #1 seed when they were in real danger of not even making the playoffs not that long ago.
