2015 is better. Our QB now is much better. Our WRs are lightyears better. Only thing that is noticeably worse is our horrendous special teams.
Holmes and Edwards were great and Cotchery was a Pro. The difference between Jerricho and Thompkins is huge
I'd take 2015 because of fitz and gailey. QB is huge and sanchez made too many mistakes that fitz doesn't. I also disagree with a push at WR. Marshall is much better then holmes or edwards. TE is a push. keller sucked but so do all our TEs right now
I would love to see the 2010 Jets offensive line go up against the 2015 Jets defensive line ... that would be one hell of a competition. Goal-line drills. I think the 2015 Jets win that matchup though. No one would be able to cover Eric Decker. I think 2010 Revis could limit 2015 Marshall, but I don't see anyone on the 2010 Jets that would win the match-ups on the outside on offense. Add in Schotty and they might score 10 to 15 points at most.
I think 2010 DBs were better. Revis was a complete shut down then. Cro was pretty good too. I think all would agree that while Revis is still really good, he isn't the best CB in the league anymore.
I don't know if Revis' knee injury in 2012 has anything to do with it, but the '10 Revis has a step on the '15 Revis. Fitz vs Sanchez: the tough as nails bearded Irishman gets the nod here. All else being equal, this year`s squad is more composed under adversity due entirely to better coaching and preparation. This is no better exemplified than by their never say die, play to the final whistle mentality. In football IQ (a deciding factor in many games), this year`s squad is head and shoulders above the `10 squad. I`ll take the `15 squad by a TD.
I'll take Marshall/Decker over Edwards/Holmes all day twice on Sunday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There is no push between the receivers. Marshall and Decker are a much better combo than Braylon and Holmes were. Holmes was great in 201o though, can't deny that. Edwards had great chemistry with Sanchez. But Brandon Marshall is a hall of fame wide receiver playing at a high level. Decker is almost in the slot position. Enunwa and Thompkins are solid contributors. I'm going with the 2015 group easy. The biggest advantage the 2010 team has over the 2015 team is the O-Line. That O-Line was great and ours is sub par.
The 2015 OL is not "sub par" by any means, it's actually in the top half of the league IMO however the 2010 line was amazing with a healthy D Woody and younger Brandon Moore on the right. Also Tony Richardson was a huge asset that year, very underrated player. Bill Callahan at OL coach was rock solid as well.
I liked our uniforms back then better. These 3 toned olive drab dark light green unis with patches are craptastic. Back to the all one shade hunter green ushered in by Parcells. _
I feel the same way.... Lose the olive drab! It sucks Gimme the rich hunter green. Maybe some of the old, old kelly green, or whatever it was, for throw backs.
In 2015, the Qb is much better. Wideout. I get the argument that Cotch was a better wideout than anyone after Marshall and Decker. But who was so great after Cotch? Overall, wideout is definitely better this year. RB. I thought LT was great in 10, but I was not a Greene fan. So I like the current ones better. OL. 10 was better here, though. TE. Never a big Keller fan. While the current TE's suck, it's hard to give '10 a big credit here. DL. this year is much better. LB. I think this is one area '10 was also significantly better, although using Davis less has improved the current unit. DB. While Revis was faster in '10, I think the current group is much deeper and more talented. ST. This is the biggest area that '10 was better for. CS. I like the current group much more. So, on the whole this is the better team.
QB and WR are much better this year. OL and RB were better in 2010. LT still had some gas in the tank and Greene definitely gave us a push late in the year and in the PS when LT was running dry. I think the biggest improvement has to go to OC though. Chan>>>>>>Schotty
