I wouldn't consider him elite, he's having a great year scoring td's (obviously, he's leading the league in that category), but he doesn't have enough catches or yards to say he's having an elite year.

To be consisted elite I think you need to be in the top 5 at your position in major stats. So for receivers that's catches, yards, and td's. You should also be able to block on running plays, and you don't want a lot of drops or fumbles either. And you should be doing it every week against the other teams #1 corner. If you do that for at least a couple of years, then I would say you're elite.

That's my opinion on elite, but I guess it can be subjective. What do you think?

Baldwin has about 11 of those TD's in the last 5 games.

He's been great but those other WR's have been productive consistently all season long.

Is that about the same time that Jimmy Graham's season ended? If so, then it would make sense to see a spike in Baldwin's numbers.

Yep pretty much the entire Seahawks offense took off once Graham went down. Lockett stepped up as well.

    Strange how that happened.

lol this actually sounds like something Francesa would say about the Jets during the Rex years.

Makes me think Graham may not be a fit in that offense. He certainly didn't look like he was.

    Like Percy Harvin.

I think Russell Wilson is an elite passer and they finally let him start airing it out. I don't think you can just look at stats. Great QB's will make good WR look amazing. Amazing WR will make good QB's look great. I agree with what you wrote though.

Yeah he def wasnt. Supposedly the team wanted him to block more. Which makes me wonder why they even traded for him in the first place. You dont trade for Graham and ask him to block more.

Total misjudgment but I guess they cant complain too much.

Was Francesa trying to say that hiring a new GM in a year from now while keeping the coach they hire this year wouldn't be a problem (unlike the self fulfilling prophecy of the Rex-Idzik disaster) because its the Giants? Did I hear right?

I guess cause the GM doesn't have power to hire or fire coaches there, so there is more of a seperation between the two jobs. When the Giants talk about coaching changes it's always Mara at the presser, Mara involved in the interviews...the GM and coach both answer to the owner.

Also, I can't believe there hasn't been a new thread for the Francesser. I think the first thread was started in 2009 when he went on his first anti-Jets rant after the Colts sat dere playizz. Da Colts awr on da moooooon! It's been fucking 6 years since then, jesus.
