I don't agree but some of you may, what y'all think? http://m.nydailynews.com/sports/foo...itzpatrick-belongs-mvp-race-article-1.2479234
i think its an idiotic column written by an idiotic beat writer. I love me some fitzmagic, but is he even the MVP of the Jets? i think he gets edged out as a pro bowl candidate, let alone league MVP. you are telling me the panthers are a 15-1 jauggernaut without cam? the pats are atop the AFC without brady? Hell were are the seahawks without russell wilson who is playing out of his mind after his run game went down? i dont think fitz is even anywhere near MVP discussion, and articles like these do an injustice to the guy, as he gets overhyped instead of getting his deserved praise
Maybe Team MVP. He's been better than expected this season and much better than expected the past few games, but that doesn't make him an MVP candidate.
Is he the NFL MVP? No but you can make a case he could be in the top 5 candidates this year. After Cam, Palmer, Brady, and Russell Wilson I think you could make a case for Fitz as good as anyone. Other guys in that discussion would be Brandon Marshall, Adrian Peterson, Kirk Cousins, Andy Dalton. Might be missing a few others but you get the point. In MMQB this week Peter King had Fitz fifth in the MVP race. I think he had Cam and Palmer neck and neck, then Brady, and then Andy Dalton if I remember correctly.
He's played on an MVP level the last 5 weeks. But very up and down prior to that. Cam has been great throughout.
No way. The votes for MVP don't account for teams making the playoffs or winning the SB. Brady, Newton, Rothlisberger, Wilson would get the first nod.
You can definitely make a case for Fitzpatrick as NFL MVP, assuming the Jets make the playoffs. The only game they were out of all year was the one where he got knocked out on the first drive and he's had multi-TD games passing and rushing 12 times in the other 15 starts and they won 2 of the games where he only accounted for 1 TD.
He's having a top 10 like season, but I don't think he could be considered for MVP. Cam is most likely going to get it, but you could make the argument for it no doubt.
Actually I think the argument can be made that Palmer is more deserving than those guys. His numbers are awesome. If the Panthers had done undefeated, Newton would have almost certainly won. Now, that's not so clear.
This was actually written by Manish "I'm a Peice of Shit " Mehta,If Fitz gets us deep into the playoffs its not out of the question ,The only way it would happen is if we made it to the Superbowl.Mehta really trying to kiss ass since Rex was fired
The MVP is voted on at the end of the regular season and does not take into account the playoffs or the SB. _
Brandon Marshall might be more important to the offense. Not only is he an absolute beast, but he allows Eric Decker to thrive in the slot. Not to mention Fitzpatrick's 2nd TD pass to Marshall was really just a heave up in the air. Fitzpatrick had the confidence to throw that ball because Marshall is a special talent - not a lot of WR's make that catch.
Cam is taking a PO team to the POs. Whippy. And he's fading down the stretch. Fitz put a 4-12 team on his shoulders with a broken thumb and is playing lights out.
