A rocket would be cheating, we don't do it. Bad burritos, on the other hand, provide similar effect and are perfectly legal
Biggest positive is Fitz, what a feel good story, 92 qb rating 29-12, after the fumble he could have folded his tent, especially after Brady tied it, it would have been the same old Jets, but instead he went out there and won the game, great job Fitz
Here is a fun fact (sounds like a positive to me): Jeff Cumberland played exactly zero snaps in this week's victory over the Patriots.
Hmmm...I guess. How much did the other guy play, Kellen Davis? He's another stiff. Looks like they're going with Enunwa as a hybrid Hback guy. And those two can ride the pine Next year Mac cleans up that spot, and Amaro gets a chance to prove himself I hope Thompkins is okay.....he fills a niche for them....for the time being
The Positives far outweighed the negatives so I'm happy about that. The positives speak for themselves. Everyone here pretty much covered all the negatives except for play calling. One of the biggest negatives that nobody is bringing up is the countless amount of times we called for a screen pass that at best went for no gain and at worst went for negative 5 yards. In the 3rd quarter the 1st and 10 screen pass to Ivory set up the 3rd down play that resulted in the fumble. We had 1st and 10, and then 2nd and 15 as a result of the screen. Powell had a nice run to get a good chunk of yards back, but if we didn't go backwards on 1st down we probably don't have the forced fumble and td. It's a totally different game if we didn't end up spotting them 7 points. Brady would've been down by 2 scores and he would've had to drop back and pass a lot more. I truly believe that with the way our defense was playing we would've sacked him at least 3 more times.
First of all, lots and lots of positives, so in one sense focusing on the negative is misplaced. For me one of the real positives is the right side of the OL played pretty well, except for that fumble and Winters not falling on the ball. But I also saw Winters make some good blocks, and they effectively used him pulling on plays running left. Giacomini also looked decent to good most of the game. But yeah if you had to focus on negatives, I could not believe that first down play call. The Pats D is more about quickness than sheer strength, and they are too fast to allow plays like that to develop. Fitzpatrick also took awhile to get started, and the Jets at first did not translate much yardage gained into points. Harris got totally juked on a pass to White I think it was. I get how people think Harris is great and all. But let's face it he is not great in pass coverage. Davis made one big play but the Pats left him unblocked. I still want to see him go. And I did not see who it was who failed on that fumble, which imo was not on Fitz. But yes, that's it and really only am doing this since the Jets did allow NE back in the game. Still, the positives were awesome.
That was a great route by James White. Gotta give credit where credit is due, a lot of linebackers would miss that tackle.
Thanks for posting this. After all the disappointing blocks, penalties, etc that we have seen in 3 years out of BW, he could have made up for it by recovering that fumble and in typical SOJ fashion he freaked it. He worries me.
I think my only real negative is the Jets should never let that game get to overtime. It was a good win, but I feel like they were executing well most of the game, and if the offense just generated a few first downs in the 4th quarter that would have been enough. But that's not what this team seems to be about. They are the cardiac kids and are getting more comfortable with winning this way. This week against the Bills I want to see an efficient, methodical dismantling of that team. Show that you can win comfortably and beat inferior teams.
I agree White made a good play, but Harris was committed to bumping him off the line, and totally missed him. That left White wide open. Harris deserves criticism for that play.
