FWIW, Ian Rappaport reported today that Dalton would be out for the Wild Card round. I agree Cincy is very talented, but I think they're beatable with McCarron under center.
No Thursday or Saturday night football this week so we've got 5 days to digest this. What the Denver victory means: 1) Jets can only make the playoffs with a win OR a Pittsburgh loss 2) If the Jets, Chiefs and Broncos all win, the Jets will be the 6th seed and @ Cincinnati in round 1 3) If the Jets win and EITHER the Chiefs or Broncos lose, the Jets will be the 5th seed and @ Houston round 1
Which, in all honesty, is good either way. I think it was more in our benefit that Cincy lost tonight. Earlier they said Dalton is about 2 weeks away from being ready to play. If Cincinatti had won, they'd have a bye and their first playoff game would be in 20 days, giving Dalton plenty of time to come back. Now that Cincy lost, if we end up playing them in the first round, it will for sure be without Dalton considering the time frame for Dalton's recovery. And to be honest, I think we would feast against AJ McCarron.
Exactly right White Doesn't matter who we face SMH with all the scenarios preferences etc : no control and the team you "want" may smack ya down Be prepared to kill Bills Cincinnati or Houston Forget the match ups at this point...its just food for fodder
so Denver is in but depending on what happens next week they could end up anywhere from the number 1 seed with home field advantage to the last wildcard? wow
And isn't McCarron banged up? We could end up with their 3rd string QB. I love playing Cinci. We seem to have their number (except for that 35-0 beatdown we took when Marvin Jones caught 4 TDs)
